Such disgraceful incidents (and more) sure didn’t do them any favours but such was the excitement for The Witcher III plus their slick marketing in presenting themselves as modern-day saints relative to EA and the like that they still succeeded.
If Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t sell in the numbers they’ll be hoping for then very tough times could be ahead for CD Projekt and especially so GOG which has struggled to break-even in recent years. Having to rely on a smash hit blockbuster game every few years from CDPR in order to keep GOG afloat seems a precarious way to run a business.
