11Bit Studios, creators of This War of Mine, have announced their new steampunk survival title, Frostpunk. Frostpunk is a dark and gritty post-apocalyptic dystopian future with heavy steampunk elements that takes on what people are capable of when pushed to the limits.
Although the development team did not reveal any additional details, we do know that this new survival game will be releasing in 2017.
11Bit Studios has released the game’s debut trailer that can be viewed below.
More details about Frostpunk will be released soon, so stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. These guys are good at this.
0 seconds of gameplay, you’re welcome.
This looks really really interesting.
This War of Mine is a really good game, and a very relevant one to our time with a magnificent ambiant. I completly trust the developers although they seem to be heading far away from their first game. Really looking forward to see some gameplay
CDPR will be after you now for using the word ‘punk’, in your game title ?
Will it be powered by the Frostbite…
So any hint or any sort of reveal about what type of genre this will be based on?
A third person or first person game in this type of setting would be very nice. I just hope it isn’t a side scrolling or isometric.
When a game is named “Frostpunk” it doesnt inspire a lot of confidence
This game was annonced back in August 2016.

Great Premise and love the sound stage of those samples very good!
Trailer cuts off to fast. The music should have raised in velocity then brought in Vocal Chorus as Harmony, with the Cello playing on top. Then they can take the camera and sweep it over the city etc.
Get a better emotional epic feeling to the trailer. As it is it’s to flat.
perhaps this was just a snippet of a larger teaser that’s closer to what you describe…
Looks cool.
