While watching the gameplay trailer for RAGE 2, I got some Bulletstorm vibes from it. So, I’m really happy to inform you everyone that People Can Fly is currently working with Square Enix for a new triple-A shooter.
As People Can Fly has revealed, all its three studios and over 150 developers are currently working on a new IP, a AAA shooter developed alongside Square Enix.
Square Enix and People Can Fly did not reveal any additional details, however we might a get small glimpse at this shooter during E3 2018.
Stay tuned for more!

With Square Enix? Will this game be a part of their “episodic gaming” roster?
I guess People Can Fly folks are really that desperate to first reissue Bulletstorm via that $hitbag Pitchford and now partnership with Squenix who ruined Deus Ex, Hitman etc.
also the developers of vanishing of ethan carter are working on a fps, they are ex painkiller devs too.
There’s two people copy paste your comment lol…
People Can Fly have the rights to Bulletstorm, so it could be a sequel to that, with SE publishing it. OR, it could be a SE franchise but I don’t think so
They said its a new IP so it wont be an existing franchise.
Interesting to see what will come of it. I thought bulletstorm was woefully underrated, i had tons of fun with it.
why would anyone want to fall off a ledge?
Bulletstorm was one of the few games I badly wanted a sequel for and it never happened.

No kidding, yeah. People can fly in that trailer. And PCF are working on a big budget FPS for Square. So am I really the only one thinking they are simply working on Rage 2?? It was just shown today for the first time so these press releases may not be coordinated right. PCF typed their piece (not revealing the game) before it was decided to show the game today and now you’ve got this news item that seems to imply yet another game, but really it makes a lot more sense that they are simply working on Rage 2 along with several other studios. It’s an open world game and it’s certainly not being made by id. id is busy with nuDoom 2 and Quake Champions. They’re not a big studio.
Speaking of nuDoom 2 – if PCF aren’t working on Rage 2 then that’s my next bet.
WTF man ?? Rage 2 is being developed by ID & Avalanche Studios and published by Bethesda, why the hell they are in an article for PCF and Square Enix ?? did you smoke some thing ??
I was really tired and mixed up SquEnix and Bethesda after reading the article 😀 😀 😀
Thing is I had noticed the similarities between Rage 2 and Bulletstorm while watching the trailer for the former. I had already wondered if maybe some of the same devs were working on it as I watched the Rage 2 trailer. So when John drew that same parallel in the article my mind must have skipped a few steps.
You’re confusing id Software with Epic Games.
that makes even less sense than what actually happened!

Here’s to hoping for a DRM free and Linux versions.
last one was unfinished with cliffhanger
Oh boy. SquareEnix. Nothing should go wrong with this I’m sure. Nope, nothing at all. /s
I’ll wait until someone makes a AAAA shooter to give them my money. We’ve been stuck on AAA for what seems like decades with no improvements.
