As promised, Icebreaker Industries released the prologue/demo for its Half-Life 3 fan game, Project Borealis. This prologue will let you play the first part of this HL3 fan game that is using Unreal Engine 5. So, waste no time and download it.
Project Borealis is a fan-made project inspired by the huge cliffhanger from Half-Life 2: Episode Two. This prologue chapter will let players step back into the HEV suit of Gordon Freeman, and offer a glimpse into the next chapter of his journey.
Players will explore a Ravenholm that has changed over time and been affected by nature. While moving through this eerie place, they will face familiar enemies that have been reimagined. They will also find new secrets hidden within.
Project Borealis will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and not by the Source Engine. In other words, we’re looking at a completely standalone free HL game. The team also promises to faithfully recreate the Half-Life 2 movement and gameplay mechanics in UE5. So, it will be interesting to see whether or not they’ll be able to achieve this.
You can download the Project Borealis Prologue from this link. Below you can also find a new video update for it.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Nice! Will check it out soon…
5 foking min of gameplay… and way too much zombies.
Yeah, it's VERY short and uhm… Is that all they could do in all this time??? Even if for just an appetizer???
I think they spent way too much time porting stuff from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. We probably could have had this a year or two ago if they hadn't done that.
Better stick to the youtube videos, this shït is not worth the time.
quite funny that this demo lasts longer than most of the commenters on here do in bed with their "happy sock"
