Tekken Series Director & Producer, Katsuhiro Harada, Is Reading Requests For A PC Version Of Tekken 7

While Bandai Namco has not confirmed yet a PC version for Tekken 7, Katsuhiro Harada tweeted a couple of days ago that he’s reading the requests for such a version. And even though nothing is confirmed yet, we’re pretty sure that this fighting game will, some day, find its way on our platform.

This is not the first time Katsuhiro Harada has hinted at a possible PC version for Tekken 7. Almost a year ago, Harada said that they are considering a PC version for certain countries that prefer or need to play on PC.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will be coming first on the arcades. The game will then be ported to Sony’s console (Playstation 4) and will support Playstation VR.

In case you’re wondering, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is an update to Tekken 7 (that was released exclusively on arcades) and features new stages, costumes, items, and characters. Not only that, but Street Fighter’s Akuma will be present, thus giving us an idea of what the upcoming crossover between Tekken and Street Fighter (Tekken X Street Fighter) will be like.

  1. Last time I got tekken on ps3, I only played a few hours and told myself never to get it again, because all my friends and myself play on PC. We are Tekken fans, but dont play much on consoles anymore, so if it came on PC, there would be much hype in my community. Confirmed sales !

  2. And since fighters are mainly online games piracy can not hurt the sales as evryone will buy it for online. And those few who dont care about online, the DENUVO DRM is the solution. Just Cause 3 is 2 weeks and a day old still no cracked.

  3. For me its the last fighting game on my wishlist for PC. If Guilty XRD sales cant convince this troll, anything cant do it. Console c * ck sucker.

  4. “I’m reading your request already!! RT @fox_watp What can fans do if they want PC release of Tekken 7 FR?”

is this a translated message or something? what can fans do if they want Tekken 7 on PC? we just buy if it comes out. if they don’t like money, they can keep it.

all their rivals are on PC. good luck fighting against the tide. Namco brought most of their huge IPs to PC already. if they hate money then so be it.

  5. I read somewhere that Qloc actually fixed the game, still the netcode is trash but they can do little about it.

    1. QLOC is still fixing the game. They released a patch that now force people to run a benchmark before playonline. That somehow has improved online experience as it blocks people with very old pc that can not run 60 fps. The same benchmak they have included on SF4 and SFXTK pc version. That why i beleive that Harada must hire them to do the pc version of T7 becuase they have much more pc experience than his time or any japan game developer will ever have. We must tell him about QLOC on his twitter.

  6. TBH I have absolutely zero doubt that this will come to PC given that Bacmo are happy to most of their games from minor to major on Steam. Heck, the PS4 version was only formally announced a little while back… even though everyone knew it was coming.

It’s coming guys. The question is which major (likely European) convention will they chose to formally make the announcement?

  7. I’ve loved playing Tekken on PS. That’s how grew up playing the series. But I would totally love a PC version 😀
