Blizzard has just announced that the third and final part of StarCraft II, Legacy of the Void, will be released on November 10th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Blizzard released the game’s cinematic opening.
In Legacy of the Void, the upcoming StarCraft II stand-alone expansion, you are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race.
“Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil—Amon—threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector.”

I’m conflicted. I love StarCraft and the Protoss have always been my favourite but after Heart of the Swarm, I realized that I don’t like StarCraft 2 anymore. I might just get it anyway for the campaign but I really want to enjoy SC2 multiplayer again.
Anyway, I don’t think any company does cinematic cutscenes better than Blizzard. This one is probably my favourite alongside the opening cinematic for Heart of the Swarm and Wrath of the Lich King.
they should have made a CG wow movie, they are so good with these stuff.

Blizzard is working on short movie called Reclamation. Will release before LOTV and bridge the gap between two games. They showed teaser trailer at livestream. Looked epic.
