In August 2025, we informed you about an upcoming game that is heavily inspired by Star Fox, called Wild Blue. Well, the game has now been renamed to Wild Blue Skies, and you can find a new trailer for it after the jump.
Wild Blue Skies aims to reimagine the classic on-rail adventures of the ’90s. Players will join Bowie Stray and the Blue Bombers as they soar through the skies on a mission to save the world in this action-packed, nostalgic journey.
The game will have a bright and colorful world, full of amazing views everywhere you look. Players will fly through an action-packed story with the help of a brave squad of allies. Along the way, you’ll face huge boss battles and fast-paced dogfights against a mysterious rival team. There will also be secret paths and hidden missions to discover as you work toward your main goal—defeating the evil Baron once and for all.
What’s interesting here is that Wild Blue Skies is being developed by a team led by ex-Nintendo programmer Giles Goddard, who worked on Star Fox and Super Mario 64. So, we can safely assume that it will feel like the classic Star Fox game.
There is currently no ETA on when Wild Blue Skies will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
