Square Enix has released a brand new update for The Diofield Chronicle that removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from its PC version.
Now we don’t know whether the removal of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech was an accident. After all, we’ve seen similar accidents in other games. And the reason I’m saying this is because the official release notes do not mention it. On the other hand, the game’s Steam store page does no longer list Denuvo.
Anyway, this is good news for everyone that was looking forward to this game but boycotted it due to Denuvo. In other words, you can now buy it.
As we’ve reported last month, the latest version of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech has been cracked. Since Empress is only cracking Denuvo games, I don’t expect most of the recent PC releases to get cracked. However, it’s almost certain that we’ll see a crack for Resident Evil 4 Remake. This shouldn’t really surprise anyone as Empress has a grudge against Capcom.
Anyway, the latest patch for The DioField Chronicle brings new story content to the game, as well as new gameplay mechanics, maps, missions and boss.
Steam will auto-download this latest update the next time you launch its client. You can also find here its complete changelog.
Have fun!

Fascinating, never heard of this game, John.
Your loss
I can imagine the two Otakus are rejoicing right now.
I thought, Skidrow removed denuvo, because they have been working on denuvo solution for 5 years lol
working on how to steal someones solution*
Skidrow just cracked a Denuvo game!
BUT dont get your d*ck going just yet. It was a Unity game!
But hey any Denuvo POS game f*ked, is one less f*karo still!
Damn I hope Skidrow will chock us all and be able to rape this POS DRM. We obviously need more, then Empress right. And the Italians – CPY are nowhere to be seen. So come on Skidrow – blow is all away, just as the friKKing awesome music group once did back in the 80 and 90’s when music where real and good!
wait, steam shows if games use Denuvo?
Sometimes, yes. Most of the time they add in the last possible minute before the release of course.
It’s some form of a silly “PR defuse” game

Ah, so it is added by developer choice. It’s not a Steam policy like languages or system requirements where Valve enforces a full disclosure policy onto the developer.
Not that it matters that much to me, when Steam shuts down one day I know I won’t be able to access the launcher and play the games anymore on Steam, regardless of DRM.
Shame GoG doesn’t have some games yet. I at least know they are all DRM free on GoG.
Steam has been out for 20 years they aren’t shutting down in our lifetimes
So I can buy it now… I’ll wait for a sale still since they already made me wait to buy it because of Denuvo…
