Endnight Games has announced that its open-world survival horror simulator, Sons Of The Forest, will leave Steam Early Access on February 22nd, 2024.
Sons Of The Forest is powered by Unreal Engine 4 the Unity Engine, and used new rendering and lighting effects when it came out. Endnight Games launched its Early Access phase in February 2023. This means that the game will leave its EA phase in a year.
In this game, you can create bases and other structures. There are also cool new monsters and enemies to face. You’ll even get some guns, though ammo will be scarce. And yes, the main fighting is still all about hand-to-hand combat.
For what it’s worth, Sons Of The Forest has Very Positive reviews on Steam. So, if you are a fan of this genre, you should keep an eye on it.
Stay tuned for more!

It is a Unity game
lemme guess, still poorly optimized?
It runs amazingly well in spite of Unity, which really is amazing considering Endnight isn’t a huge dev.
Teste on launch and was a total mess, will try again
Its an awesome game! Much better than “The Forest”. I swear the thunder/lightening in this game will have you second guessing that its really happening outside your home (wherever you are playing). Driving around in golf carts and the Knight Vs is hilarious fun when you hit cannibals. Good stuff!
Been 5 months since I last played it, Have they added VR support yet?
Oooh johnny ain’t getting the pay on this one, got the UE thing wrong lol I played their first iteration of this genre and it was spooky w the natives and such but unless you’re really into the farming/hunting survival sims it’s not too fun after the first few hours.
