    1. Sea of Thievies is part of Xbox Game Pass – a bundle of 160 games that was available for 3 usd by month for whole package. And this included Forza Horizon 4, Gears 4, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thievies, Rise of Tomb Raider and 156 more.

And you’re surprised that 5 million people play this game? Nearly every Xbox One owner have Xbox Game Pass. This is 160 games for 3 usd / month
(0.01 usd / month for single game)

  1. And that is the total people that have played the game for at least 5 seconds across 529 million Windows 10 and Xbone users? Atrocious.

Remember 5 LOOOOONG months ago when Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 were going to change everything and instantly be better than the new “meh” single player God of War game simply because they had online functionality? (one requires you to have Gold even if you want to play solo)

Then the review embargo, not even the actual game, for God of War dropped in early April and EVERYTHING changed lol. Fans left and right were BEGGING Microsoft to give them proper exclusive single player games on the level of Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War.

    1. Oh dear. That was going so well… until your Pony status once more revealed itself. At least the mediocre Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 were games of varied genres and styles as opposed to the two third-person adventure Sony games you mentioned, i.e. the one genre that Sony rinses and repeats time after time that you and your ilk embarrassingly keep on buying.

    2. I’ve never once seen anyone argue that Sea of Thieves or State of Decay 2 would be better than God of War, they’re not even the same type of games.

HOWEVER I did hear you constantly scream about how Sea of THieves would flop, and then saw your Twitter meltdown when it did well

  2. Speaking of thieves….Did you guys hear about this one?

Steam just pulled a game called Abstractism due to reports that the game hid a secret crypto miner. Apparently their is a file within the game’s directory called “SteamService.exe”, which is the same name as the legitimate file in the Steam directory, that could be used to allow remote execution of commands which would be necessary for communicating with a crypto platform. It is reported that the game “increased CPU and GPU usage well beyond the point that a simple 2D line-art game should require.”

The game is designed to encourage players to leave it running for at least 40 hours a week to spread items out

  3. They call it “free” when it was missing any content to begin with. It’s a one-trick-pony social club rather than a game anyways.

  4. the people that want more accurate numbers and feel that they need to be impressed are the people not playing this game nor have an xbox … wtf you even doing in this article ?
