Liquid Swords has just revealed its new story-driven third-person action adventure game, Samson. So, below you can find its first details and its debut in-engine trailer.
In Samson, players will uncover what broke Samson’s family and what it takes to fix it before time runs out. The game will offer an open-world area, allowing you to move through hostile blocks, hidden corners, and the history that built Samson’s past. Moreover, the city will evolve in time. Faces, factions, and streets will change as you rise or fall.
Players will be able to build their strength in both brawling and weaponized driving. They can also use momentum, terrain, and improvised tools to break their enemies quickly. Not only that, but you will be able to use your car as a weapon. Chases will turn into collisions, traps, and close-quarters destruction.
Although the devs have not revealed the engine they use, it gives me Unreal Engine 5 vibes. And, I don’t want to be that guy. But everything you’ll see in the trailer will remind you of MindsEye. Instead of guns, though, you’ll be resorting to melee combat.
To be honest, Samson seems to have potential. This won’t be a triple-A game. However, it could turn into a fan double-A title. So, let’s hope that it will better than the launch version of MindsEye.
There is currently no ETA on when Samson will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
