Volition has just announced a new Saints Row game which will be a reboot of the franchise, and will be called Saints Row. Saints Row will release on February 25th, 2022, and you can find below its announcement trailer.
As the official press release reads:
“In a world rife with crime, where lawless factions fight for power, a group of young friends embark on their own criminal venture, as they rise to the top in their bid to become Self Made.”
The game promises to have the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever created. Saints Row will take place in the unique sprawling world of Santo Ileso. Players will experience criminal ventures and blockbuster missions, as they shoot, drive, and wingsuit their way to the top.
As the future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli by your side, you’ll form The Saints and take on Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall. Players will build their empire across the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city.
Lastly, Saints Row promises to have unprecedented customization and seamless co-op support.

As someone who has played every saints row game, and loves every single one of them equally, this is not Saints Row. It’s garbage, hot woke garbage, and can very well sit in the trash can with Agents Of Mayhem.

Saints Row has always been woke garbage, but now they add a tag to it.
A game can be ‘woke’ and still good if you manage to put your own spin on it and having characters with real charisma etc. but this trailer has box checking written all over it. Sigh.
I wouldn’t call the older games “woke”. The game had, true, characters from different races. But they were amazing characters. So i wouldn’t have given less craps about it. They were gangsters, celebrities, what are these guys from the reboot? Hipsters.
speaking of which saints row 1 and 2 were really diverse, this is just “Everyone is brown”
The series started as a GTA competitor (mainly 1 and 2), but when they saw that they couldnt pull off that, they went into full self aware parody (at least 3 is still reasonable and the humor aged like milk) to cringe levels in 4.
They had woke elements (but they were minor and in the background, in a game were you could find busty women with revealing clothes and pr0nstars at the same time) but not blatant as this reboot
the only white male in the trailer is the dumb meat mountain. they made his eyes extra blue to please the twitter SJWs. Of course he’s getting outsmarted by Spice Girls and their super smart black hacker sidekick.There’s so much estrogen in this trailer that trannies watching it can skip a few HRT pills
