Yoon Im, senior vice president of publishing at Perfect World Entertainment, said:

We know players will love our twist on the survival-action genre.”

David Adams, co-founder of Gunfire Games, added:

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival-action game set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mythical creatures. Players build characters to suit their individual playstyle and survive the perils of diverse and deadly environments, alone or alongside a team of up to three other players. The game offers unique, customizable gameplay experience filled with intense shooting, melee combat, gear and weapon crafting, character progression, deadly enemies, epic bosses and dynamically-generated levels that offer an infinite number of ways to explore.

  1. “…live service game….”. Lost interest as soon as I read those.
At least I have darksiders 3 to look forward to.

  2. Let’s see. 4 players, post-apocalyptic, monsters, made by Gunfire. This game is a test-run for Darksiders 5 where they will go 4 player co-op story mode.

  3. Problem is the number of single player AAA games made these days are reducing DRASTICALLY and the no of coop / multiplayer games are increasing. I always liked couch coop sorta indie games, but these big developers making AAA coop games isn’t as fun imo. While AAA focuses on the boom boom, fun is sacrificed. Division, Destiny, high budget zombie games are never as fun as little indies that make you Lol.. While little indies aren’t the best at wowing you with visuals with a few exceptions.. So I think the recent trend of this AAA coop isn’t a good thing.. Outside of Bethesda and rarely Square Enix, we rarely see single player focused games.

    1. Wasteland, Pillars of Eternity are still indie. Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, Far Cry, Assassins Creed are the only franchises that are exceptions outside of Bethesda games. But even there, you see Hitman and AC take the online only model (Games as a Service). The next AC is online only afaik, could be wrong. As for Bioware, they’re currently making Anthem, a 4 player Destiny/Division clone, and even if they manage to make another Mass Effect / Dragon Age, you can be certain there will be some sort of online element to it just so they can sell some s**t.
