Future Friends Games has revealed its new King’s Field-like retro-fantasy first-person RPG, Queen’s Domain. This game will please a lot of The Elder Scrolls and King’s Field fans. Not only that, but there is a PC demo you can download right now.
Inspired by Dark Souls progenitor King’s Field, Queen’s Domain combines brutal combat and a super stylish retro-fantasy aesthetic with traversal-focused exploration on an interconnected island filled with secrets.
In Queen’s Domain, you will use the Legendary Holy Sword Endu to jump and fly between platforms while exploring a huge, maze-like world. This world is filled with hidden secrets and dangerous enemies waiting for you at every turn.
You’ll take part in fast, action-packed battles using a stamina bar, strong charge attacks, special weapon moves, and extra throwing weapons. As you play, you can level up, equip accessories, and pick from a large selection of melee weapons. Your goal is to fight through waves of monsters and tough bosses hiding in the darkest parts of the island.
Queen’s Domain will offer a lot of variety in combat. There will be over 50 melee weapons you can find, equip, and upgrade, along with more than 20 types of throwing weapons for different battle strategies. The game will also feature over 100 enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses to defeat.
Combat works much like it does in many modern action games. You’ll have a stamina bar, special attacks, throwing weapons, and more. You can level up by earning XP, and even eat tasty food to boost your stats. Plus, your Holy Sword lets you fly across gaps, making exploration even more fun.
There is currently no ETA on when Queen’s Domain will come out. However, as I said, there is a PC demo you can download from Steam. So, make sure to get it if you like what you see. You can download the demo from here.
