In case you didn’t know, I’m a huge Yakuza/Like a Dragon fan. So, when I saw Project Century, I got major goosebumps. This is a new game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, and it feels like a mix of Yakuza and Sleeping Dogs.
Other than this trailer, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio hasn’t shared any additional details. So, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon. After all, RGG Studio is also working on a new Virtua Fighter game. Yes, VF is coming back.
Anyway, as I said, I am a huge fan of RGG’s title. So, consider me excited for Project Century. Let’s now hope that devs will share more details about it in the next couple of weeks or months.
There is currently no ETA on when Project Century will come out.

I get it, a prequel where you play as child Kyriu in orphanage, or maybe Yakuza minus 1 where you actually play as a Yakuza henchmen and not be expelled from the organization just for once.
Lol that would be funny since he’s out of the yakuza for like most of the games he’s featured in. I’d always wanted a game where you play as and interact with some of the legendary figures in the verse like Kiryu’s Dad and Big Bro Shimano in their primes in an older setting. After seeing Ichiban’s dad in action in Infinite Wealth and the the trio of Bosses from 0 still so popular almost 10 years later, I think It would be an easy sell for a lot of fans. Maybe even cameos from other old characters from around the series like Ryuji Goda’s “Dad,” The Y5 Head of the Omi, the patriarch from Okinawan patriarch from 3 and the assassin patriarch from 6.

One of the highlight of the show. It looks like a new Dragon Engine. The Auto Exposure when you exit the room looks very similar to other Dragon Engine games.
Good ol' PS3 is going to get so nice games it seems!
