NeoGAF’s members have launched a petition in order to show SEGA that there is PC crowd for more ‘niche’ games. As suggested, this petition is targeting games that are a perceived lower risk and the initial suggestions are: Vanquish, Bayonetta and Virtua Fighter 5.
Those interested can support this cause and sign up the petition here. The original goal of this petition is to get 20K signs, and it has managed to raise so far 4K signs.
Naturally, there is no telling whether this petition will be successful. Still, a PC version of Bayonetta and Vanquish sounds possible. After all, we’ve seen Bayonetta running on the PC in the past, despite the fact that it was never released on our platform. And since MGR: Revengeance is now out, there is still hope for some ports of even older titles from PlatinumGames.
Let’s also not forget that PlatinumGames wants to bring its titles on the PC. Back in September 2012, PlatinumGames’Â executive director, Atsushi Inaba, stated that he would be interested in bringing some of their games on the PC.

I’d kill for Vanquish on the PC!!!! The fast action would be incredible running at a higher framerate but please make the textures and lighting better, we play in higher resolution for a reason!
I’ve played it on my PS3, it’s not your typical third person shooter at all. Its extremely fast pace and chaotic. More in line with Ninja Gaiden action than Gear of War. Most of the time you’re zipping around the battlefield dodging enemy fire.
vanquish was a short ass game, no replay value and is HIGHLY overrated. sure its fun, but that fun ends quick with nothing left to do. not to mention only like 2-3 enemy variations and crappy bosses. but yeah, sliding around on your knees powered by rockets is nice 🙂
It’s a typical japanese arcade game, you play for the highest score, not for the many stuff you can do.
And you get bonus points when you finish a chapter fast.
Sure why not, brutal legend, deadly premonition,enslaved, viking battle for asgard, curse mountain,resident evil 4 hd and propably others i am missing right now.
Pc gamers will buy old games for a low price on steam. There is definetly market for it.

Bayonetta, Vanquish good games and should be given proper HD PC ports. Virtua Fighter 5 no good, give us TEKKEN instead Japan!

well they got binary domain and got a diffirent team to port it and there is sonic. It will be easier to get those games on pc if they werent japanese.

The only thing that I don’t trust about SEGA is that they might chopped the games into DLCs. If those petitioned games do make their way to the PC then I will welcome them.
It’s a different thing with Konami though with everyone hoping they will bring their titles, in particular the MGS series, to the PC. They brought MGR: Revengeance to the PC and it’s nicely ported but unfortunately it’s region locked so I couldn’t play it. I don’t think I’ll be welcoming Konami games if they continue the region lock for future games.
Screw these games, give us Red Dead Redemption instead.

I’d love it if all console games were available for PC, especially titles like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Madden, NCAA Football, and Red Dead Redemption.
Bayonetta would be great. In time, perhaps Bayonetta 2 once their exclusivity contract runs out with Nintendo.
In fact, I think everyone should be putting everything out on PC, really. Games are developed on PC to start with. It shouldn’t be that hard to port them while they’re being made. Adding Steamworks apparently isn’t that hard, either.
So really, developers. Stop being lazy. Go PC. You can make console games after.
