The official Steam store page for Outriders may have leaked its final release date. As we can see, Steam indicates that this new RPG Shooter will release on February 2nd, 2021. February 2nd is a Tuesday, so this looks like a valid date.
From what we know so far, the game was targeting a Holiday 2020 release date. Square Enix plans to release the game on both current-gen and next-gen platforms. However, and if this Steam date is accurate, the publisher will slightly delay it.
Outriders is a 1-3 player, drop-in-drop-out, co-op shooter, set in an original dark and desperate sci-fi universe. The game promises to be a dark modern third-person shooter with a strong story.
In Outriders, players will create their own Outrider and embark on a journey across a hostile planet. The game also promises to feature rich storytelling with a diverse world. Thus, players will leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and deserts in pursuit of a mysterious signal.
Additionally, Outriders aims to combine intense gunplay with violent powers, along with an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. And now Metal Messiah is marking my comments as spam as well as deleting them. You have revealed your true self to me. I have to lose because you have mod privileges but what I have said is 100% true and that’s good enough for me.
The title of the article says Feb 2021. Why nitpick? We all make typos from time to time don’t we?
That guy is most of the population of this site. Just saying. Toxic af.
And Metal Messiah deleted his post ridiculing John for making a typo. I am disappointed in you Metal Messiah. You say this site is unfriendly? I say no to this. We just say what we think.
All comments have been restored. We respect the Comment Policy that you, our readers, have voted for.
But not anywhere near all of the comments have been restored John.
Only this story had issues with the comments due to your fight with Metal Messiah, every other story appears to be fine. If there is a deleted comment in any other story, feel free to link me to the deleted comment.
There are 4 deleted comments on this article and i don’t consider it a fight to disagree with a commenter that says we are unpleasant here because we say what we think. Also just because I dispute Metal Messiah’s comments doesn’t mean we are in a fight. I have a lot of respect for him but he shouldn’t be abusing his moderator privileges.
Metal deleted his own comments, as you can delete your own comments whenever – and if – you want to. Unrestrained Policy means you can do whatever you want with your own comments 😉
I didn’t think about that and you are right. I stand corrected.
I don’t know yet. The fallout is not yet complete. We will have to wait and see how his turns out. Either we have an Unrestrained Policy or it is an illusion. I am fine either way. I just want to know what the real rules here are.
EDIT: John has straightened this out imo.
And now Metal Messiah is removing posts which goes against the Commenters Posts Voting.
You have attacked John numerous times in the past and you are doing it again because you have found a cozy place where you feel safe on WCCFTech.
Well, I guess they have 4 months to make something decent out of this generic game.
