Old-school Sci-fi Horror FPS HYPERVIOLENT to be fully released on September 23rd

Fulqrum Publishing has announced that its old-school sci-fi horror FPS, HYPERVIOLENT, will be fully released on September 23rd. The game has been in Early Access since April 2023. This means that it took the devs over two years to reach their final version. To celebrate it, the publisher shared a new trailer that you can find below.

HYPERVIOLENT is inspired by classic 90s sprite-based 3D games. Players are trapped on Commodus Asteroid 27-C, a mining base that has fallen into chaos. Surrounded by terrifying monsters, you’ll have to fight to survive while searching for the truth behind the madness. Deep inside the dark, tight mines of the asteroid, dangerous secrets are waiting to be uncovered.

The game gives you tons of guns and melee weapons, and you can even hold two at once in almost endless combos. If you like close combat, you can kick, punch, or even grab a severed arm and use it as a weapon! But don’t think you’re unstoppable. Resources are limited, and enemies can surprise you at any time. Staying alert is the only way to survive.

But HYPERVIOLENT isn’t just about shooting and fighting. The game also has a story hidden in the background. As you explore, you’ll find data logs on computers or even on fallen enemies. These logs slowly reveal what happened on the I.E.C. Commodus. The creepy atmosphere and dark sci-fi setting make every discovery feel even scarier, letting the environment itself help tell the story.

With version 1.0, HYPERVIOLENT expands into a full experience. Players can explore 14 different areas, collect and use 22 weapons, and face off against 19 unique enemies and 5 powerful bosses. The game also introduces exciting new mechanics. You can pilot your own spaceship through the narrow halls of a space station, or use special tools like the Neurotether Device, which lets you take control of enemies for a short time.

For what it’s worth, the game has Mostly Positive Reviews on Steam right now. It also has really low PC requirements. The devs recommend an Intel i7-7700 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1660. So, it should run smoothly on a wide range of PC systems.

Enjoy!

  1. Retro FPS this, retro FPS that.

Just another extremely generic pixel FPS that will release and then completely forgotten with literally nobody even talking about it just two days later.

    1. well, it has survival horror elements with limited ammo, using two weapons at the same time like meele weapons, it has hub like levels and logs to read and vehicles and inventory screen and repairing weapons. Its more like system shock but looks like red faction than a generic pixel fps.

      1. Doesn't matter, it's still an extremely generic indie game that is basically using the classical and overused Inspired By™ cliche in desperate hopes to cash in on some brain dead hom󠀀os󠀀ex󠀀ual Alpha Gen kiddies' non-existent "nOsTaLgIaS!!!" about games they never even played in the first place while of course gonna end up being inferior to the actual games that inspired it released 30 years ago, because these old games were made by competent and grown-up chads who loved what they were working at while these Inspired By™ cliche gaymes are being made by f󠀀ag-loving Millennials who only make them for some easy money at best.

        1. clearly this s made by milenials, gen alpha playing these games instead of fortnite souls slop, cozy slop and the rest is an improvement.

        2. "in desperate hopes to cash in on some brain dead hom󠀀os󠀀ex󠀀ual Alpha Gen kiddies'"

          AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
          This lad…

    2. So, a good game FOR YOU needs to be one that OTHERS are interested in?
Should you need a personality, I can give you the link to buy one.

      1. Give me recommendations to play them, not buy them, because to me, all games are free because I "buy" them through the pirate store where everything is free and not Steam, because I'm not a buyfag who burns money over literally +4000 gaymes I will never even bother launching them for lifetime (let alone playing them) just like how the extremely censorial Jewkraine-loving fa󠀀gg󠀀ots at (((WC󠀀CF󠀀Cu󠀀cks))) openly admit it with literally no shame or slightest hesitation despite literally nobody on the face of the Earth even asking them anything that "forced" them to admit it.

        1. Attention deficit much?!
I didn’t say you need to buy games, ye punk!
I said you need to get your hands on some good personality, so you can choose your games without the need of others’ approval.
Buying stuff that’s free on the internet is for the retärded.

  2. cool in the meantime beyond sunset and incision released out of early access and quake 2 got a new expansion called call of the void and darkenstein 3d a free game will also be released.

"we are flooded with boomer shooters"

nah, its still not as bad as souls slop or survival crafting tree punching games.

  3. Well, there might be fans about this art style, but I see this as a lazy cash-grab.
The "fake-nostalgia- social-media-crowd" have something new to look.

  4. So freaking tired of these games getting constantly darker and darker, with more and more horror elements… At this rate, ALL games will have the horror tag.
What's happening? Is it because we're getting near the end of times?
Why can't we have FPS where we kill HUMANS anymore? (besides the pathetic COD games)

Kingpin, Redneck Rampage (okay, some aliens), 007 Nightfire, No One Lives Forever, Outlaws, Call of Juarez, Postal 2, Far Cry, Splinter Cell (not a FPS but you get the idea)… Those were the days. I could relate much more to the "lore" of these games.
Now I just don't feel anything anymore. It's too "monstrous" to me. Everything feels like it came out of a nightmare. And the problem is not that it's scary, but it's just too disconnected from reality.
"Monsters" are okay in games like Dark Messiah or VTMB, cos the world itself is kinda "realistic" and believable, and everything makes sense. And the goal of their presence isn't to make you feel uneasy or scared. But nowadays, it's like everybody wants to give a "Scorn" feeling to their games.

Why does EVERYTHING has to be horror nowadays?

    1. Yep, I did notice too that almost ALL FPSs releasing lately DON'T have humans as enemies.

And WHEN there is A FEW FPSs that do that, they're literally nothing other than than the classical "Mu󠀀slim bad, West good!" go󠀀yslop propaganda, because these mentally deranged pink-haired tra󠀀nnies literally think that sh󠀀ooting people in a video game is "tOo vIoLeNt!!!" but it's only kosher when you are specifically producing a ha󠀀zardous bra󠀀inrot go󠀀yslop ter󠀀rorist indoctrination tool in the form of a video ga󠀀yme that brainwashes you on how to become a terrorist to sho󠀀ot Mu󠀀󠀀slims and rots your brain to the fullest to think that (((AmeriK󠀀KKa))) the Gre󠀀at Sa󠀀tan and world's #1 terr󠀀orist's illeg󠀀al inva󠀀sions, war cri󠀀mes, and cri󠀀mes against hu󠀀manity are simply "lIbErAtIoN!!!" just exactly like Call of Do󠀀odie, Battlefailed, Six G󠀀a󠀀y󠀀s in Fallujah, etc.

And to all the ugly, mentally deranged pi󠀀nk-ha󠀀ired tra󠀀nnies reading this who think these double standards are "the norm!" I'll just leave this here:

Have a n󠀀ice da󠀀y, tra󠀀nny co󠀀c󠀀kr󠀀oaches. Don't cry blood and kill yourselves just because I did something as simple and harmless as de󠀀fe󠀀ca󠀀ting on your favorite pi󠀀le of Talmudick fe󠀀ce󠀀s that brainwashes children to think that JuDEIst ter󠀀rorism is "lIbErAtIoN!!!" that you call video gaymes.

Truly, silly go󠀀yim who don't even know what hi󠀀ts them.
