Official PC system requirements for Watch Dogs Legion

Ubisoft has just revealed the official PC system requirements for Watch Dogs Legion. According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 290X.

For gaming at 1080p/High, Ubisoft recommends using an Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480.

For 1440p/High, PC gamers should use an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 16GB of RAM. Ubisoft also recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060S or AMD Radeon RX 5700 for these settings.

It’s also worth noting that for gaming at 1080p/High Settings with RTX, NVIDIA recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. For gaming at 4K/Ultra with RTX, the team recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti. Ubisoft did not clarify the framerate, though my guess is that PC gamers should expect 30fps for the RTX requirements.

    1. The System RAM configuration on your Motherboard. 2 RAM sticks.

      It is enabled when a pair of same-size memory modules are installed into matching memory banks. These memory banks are usually colour coded on the motherboard, with each memory slot of the same colour code making up the ‘channel’.

      To take advantage of a dual-channel platform when purchasing memory make sure to buy memory in identical pairs. For example, if you wanted to upgrade to an additional 2 GB of memory. Buy two 1 GB memory modules that are exactly identical. While the speed of each memory chip does not need to be the same as the others, it is best to install memory with matching speeds. If the speeds differ, the motherboard runs the memory chips at the speed of the slowest chip.

      Dual-channel architecture requires a dual-channel-capable motherboard and two or more DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, or DDR5 memory modules. The memory modules are installed into matching banks, each of which belongs to a different channel.

      The motherboard’s manual will provide an explanation of how to install memory for that particular unit. A matched pair of memory modules may usually be placed in the first bank of each channel, and a different-capacity pair of modules in the second bank.

      Modules rated at different speeds can be run in dual-channel mode, although the motherboard will then run all memory modules at the speed of the slowest module. Some motherboards, however, have compatibility issues with certain brands or models of memory when attempting to use them in dual-channel mode.

      For this reason, it is generally advised to use identical pairs of memory modules, which is why most memory manufacturers now sell “kits” of matched-pair DIMMs. Several motherboard manufacturers only support configurations where a “matched pair” of modules are used.

    1. It is still a great CPU for gaming and it will also be in the PS5-Series X era … you’ll see!
      I am a happy owner of I7 4790k @ 4.8 Ghz …. and so far I have never had the need to change it …. imagine a 7700K! my limitation is DDR3, but in the case of 7700K it does not exist, so I think at high resolutions it is very competitive …. maybe at 1080p not, but from 1440p up I think there is no need to upgrade yet man!

  3. So nice to see system requirements stating the actual vram and not just a card model number. I always have to look up the card to see the amount of vram needed. i got better things to do then try to memorize what every damn card has for vram LOL
