KRAFTON has announced a new first-person open-world shooter RPG from the devs of The Ascent, NO LAW. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher shared the game’s debut gameplay trailer, which you can find below.
NO LAW promises to be a first-person, story rich, cyber-noire shooter. The game is set in a decadent port city built on neon sleaze instead of regulations. Players will explore its rich history and meet the veiled hearts of the city as they take back what was wrongfully taken from them.
In NO LAW you get to take on the role of Grey Harker. Harker is a seasoned veteran of both the battlefield and the city of Port Desire. After receiving near-fatal injuries on his last deployment, Harker decides to finally turn his back on the military life and instead set his sights on a life of peace, once and for all. However, while he no longer goes looking for trouble, one fateful day, trouble finds its way to his front door.
Throughout your journey as Harker, you will come across plenty of colorful characters. Some of them will be friends and others will be foes. Whether you decide to help a friend in need or flatline some mouth-breathing alley rat, your choices will leave a mark. You can also play through multiple times to uncover alternate paths and new outcomes.
Neon Giant claims that you will be able to play your way in NO LAW. You can master the tools, learn the systems, and turn every mission into your own story. For instance, you can utilize Grey’s tactical background and stick to the shadows. Or you can let him give in to his unbridled rage and go in guns blazing. There will be tactical routes to take. Or you can go guns blazing.
The Ascent was a game I really enjoyed. So, I can’t wait to get my hands on NO LAW. If you haven’t played The Ascent, I highly recommend doing so. It’s a different genre from NO LAW. Nevertheless, it’s an amazing sci-fi title.
