Clair Obscur Expedition 33 feature-4

New Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Update Will Add New Content, Boss Battles, and Playable Area

Sandfall Interactive has announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold over 5 million copies on all platforms. To celebrate this, the team is working on a free update that will add new content to the game.

Guillaume Broche, Creative Director of Expedition 33 at Sandfall Interactive, said:

“The response to our game has been nothing short of incredible. We spent years working on our dream project, and to know it has resonated with fans around the world in such a powerful way is both wonderful and overwhelming. We’re so grateful to our fans for their love of the world we created, for sharing their own fan art and music covers, for wearing their best Baguette cosplays to conventions, and for being incredibly supportive of our game. We hope the update we’re working on will act as a ‘thank you’ to those fans for their support – please be patient while our team work hard on bringing you something worth the wait.”

The free update will add a new, playable environment, taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover. It will also have challenging, new boss battles for late-game players to overcome. Moreover, you can expect new costumes for each member of the Expedition, giving even more customization options for players throughout their adventure.

The new update will also come with new text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19. Plus, there will be even more surprises for fans to look forward to.

I really liked Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and it could very well be my GOTY. Below, you can find one of its best tracks — Une vie à t’aimer — which is so good! I hope we’ll see Lorien Testard and Alice Duport-Percier perform it live at this year’s The Game Awards.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. The game on PC does not have HDR. Spending time on DLC is okay but why not focus some time also on HDR?

    1. HDR only works well on certain games…. for instance, Horizon Zero Dawn/FW, Cyberpunk, and Stellar Blade use it well. Doom The Dark Ages, Indiana Jones, and Forza not so much. Before you say that I haven't properly calibrate, I have. I use a MSI 322 URX 32inch OLED and I am telling you HDR isn't perfect across the board…. it really depends on the game's implementation. I don't see it adding much to the already great lighting/design of Expedition 33.

      1. I’m not particularly impressed with HDR on monitors, with peak brightness topping out at around 1000 nits. I play my games on an RTX 5090 PC connected to an 85 inch Sony TV capable of hitting 3000 nits in a 10% window, and HDR is just insanely good there. The specular highlights have far more punch than with SDR. Some UE5 games do have a washed-out look due to a lifted black floor, but overall, native HDR implementation on PC games is absolutely excellent.

        1. just another reason to priotize new content over hdr implementation

new content wil benefit everyone and hdr only minority and it s a miss or hit , also there is a lot of ways to use hdr modes and often it s better than official implementation

          1. You budget gamers are still stuck with cheap displays that don’t even support HDR. Gaming has always been at the forefront of technology, forcing display manufacturers to step up their game. HDR became a standard back in the previous console generation and has since become an essential feature. A DLC never comes close to the experience of the original game, it’s reused textures wrapped around a paper-thin story, a glorified side quest. It’s just a way to squeeze more money out of players when the base games are already expensive enough. Auto-HDR, RTX HDR, and RenoDX are alternative mods/methods that try to fix HDR, but they rarely match true native HDR, except in certain Unreal Engine 5 titles like MGS Delta and Silent Hill F. If you think HDR is only used by a minority, it’s time to step up your game, invest in better gear, and stop clinging to outdated CRT monitors.

          2. I have a high end HDR monitor and I shared found HDR to be crap. I don't understand why id want to play everything as a lifeless grayscale. HDR is straight up Garbo

          3. Yes I bought a

            LG Ultragear 45GR95QE-B 45 Inch QHD(3440×1440) OLED

BenQ TK700STi 4K HDR Gaming Projector

AWOL Vision LTV-3500 Pro 4K 3D Triple Laser Projector

All from Temu, you Prlck. I wasn’t aware that Temu sold 2 thousand dollar monitors and 7500 dollar protectors.

      1. Seconding this. RTX HDR is great and its very easy to enable/disable it in the app for games that have it built in, or have poor implementation.

        1. Garbage assumption. I have so many devices with top tier HDR and it's the first rubbish I turn off. HDR is rubbish.

          1. You do you bro. The flat and bland look that you get with HDR turned off, you might enjoy it. Good for you. You could also consult with an optician.

          2. I consulted with your mother instead. Her pu$$y is just as nasty as your attitude. You shouldn’t talk to people if they aren’t allowed to have a preference that disagree with your fragile little life.

          3. Who's got an attitude now? You came to talk to me, not me to you. Cut the wishful thinking and take your pills, you low-class hero.

  2. naturally like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I will surely come again again.
