Naughty Dog’s Lead Outsource Artist may have leaked an upcoming remaster of The Last of Us 2. According to his LinkedIn page, the artist was responsible for overseeing the production of The Last of Us 2 Remastered.
As with all rumors, we suggest taking this with a grain of salt. This could either be a leak, or a typo (and perhaps the artist meant The Last of Us Part One Remastered).
Anyway, rumor has it that The Last of Us 2 Remastered may come out alongside the launch of the second season of HBO’s TLOU series. If that’s the case, we’ll most likely see this game in 2025.
Since The Last of Us 2 is already playable on PS5, we can also assume that we’ll get it on PC. After all, we’ve already gotten its first part and although it had a rocky launch, the game is now in a pretty good state.
Now I’m certain that pretty much everyone knows what happens in The Last of Us 2. If you are one of the lucky ones who don’t know… well… expect people to give you the Abby treatment.

This game need REMAKE, with a solid re-done work on writing, characters and storytelling.
They will just remake the graphics and make everything an unoptimized buggy mess.
At this point who in their right mind would want to play this when there are already better alternatives in terms of everything graphics, gameplay and story. (Yes, you guessed it, only propaganda supporters)

Is anyone surprised? For anyone asking where are the Demon’s Souls/Bloodborne ports, i’ll ask back: Did Sony ever ported one of it’s japanese exclusives to PC? Things like Last Guardian, Shadow of the colossus, Gravity Rush, etc? Maybe there is one exception, that masked voodoo doll game? Not sure, but it’s quite evident that the bulk of Sony’s PC ports is western games with the whole ESG/Woke agenda.
My theory is that they refurbish their western exclusives for mass consumption, because they want to spread their political agenda, just like they shut it down Sony Japan’s studio branch for not being inclooosive and not getting how it works. Because:
1) They don’t port japanese games;
2) Games older than PS4 generation also not included(the sole exception being the Last of Us, but the way the franchise embraced wokeness even on PS3 days, it’s understandable they wanted to port it)
Seems that way because they also didn’t port Ghosts of Tsushima despite being a western game, my guess is that it’s because it lacks the overt politicizing of the usual sonyslop.
They might come around to port that later, don’t know how that game handle the agenda. But since the game is set in Japan of all places and it aims to be an authentic experience on the surface (unlike Ubisoft’s approach in it’s upcoming AC game) it’s not a priority i guess.

Indeed, it’s not overt. However, the game has more “progressive” characters than even tlou2. I know it sounds unbelievable, but once you remember that GoT is made by a western first party soyny studio it makes sense.
So there is a chance of the game being ported to PC it seems.

If this was just about sales, they would have ported bloodborne/Demon’s Souls ages ago, those games are genre defining, and the horde of clones it has is testament to their commercial success. In fact, Sony apparently moved on even from the PS4, as their latest ports and upcoming ports are already PS5 flagship titles, the exception being TLoU2, because they need to port the goyslop for the masses. And it is interesting because these ps5 titles are mostly flops on the PC.

Regarding TLoU franchise, the director stated on record that he made it explicitly as a Israeli propaganda.
Oh man, I wanted to play Last guardian so much when I first saw it on ps4. Too bad it’s still exclusive to it and all of fumito ueda games. But I heard from someone that things are shaking up radically inside Sony and they’re shifting focus on Asian developers more than western ones. More so, there’s a high vote for new CEO to be asian. So there’s a chance that we might see more japanese games ported to PC finally.

But even so, there were definitely aspects of the game that were not well designed.
For starters, the controls felt awful, like the input lag was exceedingly high. That was probably the only game that caused my thumbs to hurt because it felt like I was fighting with my controller to get the kid and the camera moving.
Secondly, performance wasn’t great even on a PS4 pro. I know historically their games were never really well optimized, but you’d think moving the game from PS3 to PS4 would’ve improved things. I guess going from the Cell processor to a crappy AMD CPU had its complications, and it really showed.
Third, the visuals were inconsistent. The Trico creature looked great, but a lot of the environments looked bland, especially from an artistic point of view. It’s as if they were running out of time and couldn’t put on the final touch-ups with colour grading and post processing so it just looked dull and washed-out.
Most important of all, the game just felt like a slog for a majority of it due to the core game design of the creature not always cooperating with you, especially at the beginning. I understand what they were going for, but I still didn’t like it.

Well, given a proper PC port, it would instantly remove all the performance issues. And with mod support (which almost all PS PC ports have) Trico Ai could be made more user friendly and enjoyable. I wouldn’t say that the artstyle in “The Last Guardian” is bland. It’s slightly different from Shadow of colossus and ico but still have that grand scale and feeling to it. Only on PC with true 4k it can shine properly.
Maybe, but even with all those issues addressed it’d go from a 6/10 game to a 7/10 (maybe 7.5) at best for me. IWO at best it might be upgraded to a good game, but not a great one. Certainly nowhere close to the levels of Ico and SotC.
Seems like this game could benefit being ported to PC, shame Sony is anti-japanese.

You mean sackboy? Yup, it’s made by a western studio. The only japanese titles to make it to PC are not affiliated with Sony, like Yakuza series, Final Fantasy games, games with temporary exclusivity.
What was woke in The Last of Us? Ellie’s ‘sexuality’ was only revealed in Left Behind, which was a pretty pointless DLC, in my opinion.
I think you answered your own question, but allow me to elaborate: People who watches long running shows often report on how the first season being really good and exciting, but later seasons being boring and full of woke lectures. Same principle applies to this franchise, and they made sure to remake this game with the same subversive zeal.
The first season of TLOU was extremely woke. Race swapped Sarah and do not get me started about episode 3. Disgusting.
Yeah but the ps3 game didn’t have those elements, it was a woke retcon, kinda like Assembly strategy games releasing patches to put more women in combat.

Aside from the so called “wokeness”, I personally don’t like the overly intensive focus on realism in some AAA games in recent years, i.e. TLOU2. It’s just not appealing to me. I much preferred i.e. Tomb Raider Legend, Anniversary and Underworld or Uncharted 1, 2 and 3. Or Jak & Daxter. I actually like lesbian characters, but only when they are cute (so in anime). Called me biased, I don’t care, I want enjoyment, not focus on “social justice”.
