Fumi Games has announced that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been delayed, and that it will now release in early 2026. According to the devs, we’ll get a specific release date on October 23rd at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase.
Mouse: P.I. For Hire will look like those cartoons from the 1930s with a noir vibe. The game will be all about the story, taking you on an exciting adventure through a city full of danger and corruption.
In this game, you’ll step into the shoes of John Mouston, a private detective. You’ll get to use cool weapons from the mid-century like the Revolver, Tommy Gun, Hammer, Carcano, and Dynamite. And yes, you’ll also be able to solve mysteries and take on various challenges.
Players will unravel a quest for justice in a noir city mired in chaos, corruption, and vibrant energy. In your quest, you’ll have all sorts of cool weapons, power-ups, and explosives to use. The game also promises to be playful and fun. Enemies will also act like characters from cartoons, which will add a funny twist to traditional FPS gameplay.

well hopefully they take they're time with it. Really interested to see how this turns out. kinda sad because it looked cool but there's plenty else to play like bf6 or tow2 next week.
Who?
Intrigued about this one, hope it has some noir soul and the gameplay is good, has some mechanics depth, and it's not just a shallow shooter + press E to open a door or listen to an audiolog. But we haven't seen any of that in trailers so I'm not really optimistic.
I don't need more games that are just outstanding visuals or art style.
Polish a boomer shooter, and it's still a boomer shooter, but the 40's Western animation vibe is a change of character that turned my head enough when I first saw it.
I keep being reminded of this game at odd times.
