Mega Man Legacy Collection Announced & Coming To The PC This Summer

Capcom announced today Mega Man Legacy Collection; a collection that includes faithful reproductions of the original six Mega Man games along with a new Challenge Mode and a Museum collection of art assets that will appeal to both new players and diehard fans.

As its description reads:

“Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series’ origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character. In addition to the six Mega Man games, Mega Man Legacy Collectionfeatures new ways to experience the classic games with the Museum Mode and new Challenge Mode.”

Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too.

On the other hand, Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces.

Enjoy!

  1. trying to milk Megaman with Mighty 9’s release which isn’t your game (i think??) is nice and all but since we are on the subject of recycling, you should bring Dragon Dogma to PC and next gen. but Capcom hates money so…

  2. I like this idea but I really thought it was going to be the all the original NES games redone like Duck Tales Remastered was. If this is just the old games in 4:3 with a border covering the rest of the screen then I’m going to pass.

    1. Yes, It’s the same graphics upscaled to 1080p, but at least Capcom is putting some effort porting the classics to a new engine with proper (optional) 16:9 resolutions support, new game modes and extra content.

I believe it’s well worth for any 8-bit era gamer.

    1. I think everyone knows that, still if the price is right, people that arent cheap bags will buy it to honour one of their favorite franchises. Do you think people who bought Metal Slug on steam didnt know about MAME?

      1. alot of console kiddies migrating to pc because its a trend didnt know. i remember them being butt blasted in steam forums that they coulda got a better performing/looking version for free.

  3. Mega Man series is one of my all time favorite franchises. Wish there were more of them. Hopefully Mighty Number 9 will be worth it but nothing will touch Rock Man X4.

  4. exactly. this is just a cheap cash in. screw capcom. calling it now within a a year they’ll announce the ultimate legacy collection hd turbo including those games.
