Square Enix and DONTDOD Entertainment today announced that the first episode of the critically-acclaimed narrative driven game Life is Strange will be available to download for free starting indefinitely from July 21st.
In order to celebrate this announcement, Square Enix released a new trailer that can be viewed below.
Oskar Guilbert, CEO of DONTDOD Entertainment, said:
“Although our team set out to create an award-winning narrative we still cannot believe the response we’ve had from players of Life is Strange. We’re really glad that Square Enix have decided to give the first episode away for free so more players can begin their journey and see why people have fallen in love with the game for themselves.”

“By making the first episode of Life is Strange free, we’re really excited to welcome new players to the world of Arcadia Bay and our passionate, vibrant community. We’re incredibly pleased with the awards that the series has won to date as well as the support that our community have given us throughout the campaign.”

this is smart – exposes this game to much larger audience and surely some of them will like it enough to buy all episodes after, since it’s a great game
I really wanted to try but as soon as I’ve heard the “go f your selfie” line my mind locked in a big NOPE NOT FOR ME!

It had a nice fantasy story and it expanded very nice plus the art style had its issues but it was amazing like , handmade.
I hope that it was a success and we get to see more =)

E.g. 3:39 the punk grill who has daddy issues (happens a lot to teens) blackmails a rich college boy who is also a druggie , he shoots her because he gives zero Fs since he owns everything in there (thanks to dad , classic)
