LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga releases in Spring 2022, gets new gameplay trailer

TT Games and Warner Bros have announced that LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga will release in Spring 2022. In order to celebrate this announcement, the teams released a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will feature the biggest roster of playable characters in the LEGO Star Wars series. It will also include the greatest legends from every era of the Skywalker saga. Players can fight against the forces of evil as Luke Skywalker, Rey, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Finn, BB-8 and a legion of other heroes. Alternatively, they can turn to the dark side as Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren, and more. The greatest vehicles from across the galaxy will be also available to command. Players can jump to lightspeed in the Millennium Falcon to outrun Imperial starships, battle First Order TIE fighters in Resistance X-Wings, or podrace on Tatooine.

In this game, players can start at the beginning with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, begin the original trilogy with Star Wars: A New Hope, or launch right into Star Wars: The Last Jedi or Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Players will have the power to revisit any planet, at any time, in any order they wish.

  1. Rey will never be canon and Disney Star Wars will never be more than fan fiction. Really, really bad fan fiction that tried to replace the original characters and erase all their victories and accomplishments.

  2. After playing episodes 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 and 6, im just going to turn the game off. because thats the end of the story.

    1. Correct. The “Skywalker Saga” ended in 1983. The future past that is fan fiction after the last shot of ROTJ. Thrawn trilogy was pretty good fan fiction that stayed true to the characters Lucas established. The sequel trilogy was simply hatemail. ANYTHING Disney ever does can’t be called canon though. It’s a lie and as ridiculous as someone making a new Led Zeppelin album or someone writing a sequel to the Lord of the Rings.
