Epic Store is not required. Game will be free in Game Pass on PC

“Game will be free in Game Pass on PC”
Really? The game will be free so long as you pay the subscription for “Game Pass”? Logic.
3 months of game pass cost 1 usd and you don’t need use Epic Store
For games you don’t want to own and only want to play once this makes sense indeed. I played gow4/5 on gamepass and it cost me 2usd. I mean SURE i don’t own it but i didn’t want to anyways. Just wanted to play legally.
as if you played the same game forever. We play until we get bored of it, and that usually happens within 1-2 months, which will cost you $1 on gamepass. But have it your way, you can either pirate it or pay $60.
Yep, such is the logic of the peasantry.
After the year exclusive, right?
Game is not exclusive to Epic Store. You can play it for 1 usd next week from game pass.
It’s the same bulls**t marketing as free “Gold/PSplus games even though you’re paying a goddamn fee every year.
as if you would play the same game forever. We play until we get bored of it, and that usually happens within 1-2 months, which will cost you $1 on gamepass. Gamepass is actually VERY good value, I mean, the best value we had ever hadon this industry. But have it your way, you can either pirate it or pay $60
It is a good value, that is undeniable, but I still prefer being able to own my games and being able to play them whenever and however I want. I am willing to pay for the privilege of owning my own games. 🙂
I used to think like that, and now I have a pile of PS3 games (30+) sitting on my shelf, gathering dust… I learned to let go of the games I have no interest in playing anymore. Also, even if I wanted to keep my Game Pass subscription just to keep my library, it would still be WAY less money than what I’ve spent buying these games before. Oh, and not to mention some games these days simply stop working when the servers are shut down…
This is not to say I don’t buy games anymore, just that I hand pick them.
I’ve been playing Doom for 22, C&C for 19 years and S.T.A.L.K.E.R for 12 years.
Don’t test me, considering the state of this industry I might just stick to a few older games and leave for good, I’m getting less and less time to play anyway.
buying these games is the right approach for you then, which doesn’t mean game pass is not a better option for a lot of people
With Gamepass you don’t own sh*t
yeah, so what? You got to play many games for $1. How’s that a bad deal at all? How is it different from buying a ticket for one session of a movie in a theater? A LOT of people play their games untill they finish them and move on to other games. For these people, game pass is a much, MUCH better deal than buying each one for $60. And besides, there are so many indie games that I’d like to play, but not enough so that I would spend $15-20 to buy them… GP allows me to play all of these games that I wouldn’t otherwise.
“yeah, so what?”
Stopped reading right there
The irony of this question in a time where creatively bankrupt companies are trying to pander to nostalgia to push their sh*t products.
Please gain some self awareness
yeah, and the solution is to pay the full $60 for the same “creatively bankrupt companies”, for the same uncreative games. Now THAT makes total sense to me. Congratz buddy, you’ve reached a new level of stupidity
“and the solution is to pay the full $60 for the same creatively bankrupt companies, for the same uncreative games.”
Except I never made that argument, try again.
My PC game pass black sails are ready

LOL if I wanted the game hard right now then I’d rather get it from EGS.
EGS > game passes and other junk.
Hmm, another free game from the anti-consumer Epic store.
Epic, make piracy great again.
Game is not exclusive to Epic Store. You can play it for 1 usd from Game Pass
Everyone and their mother is like “OMGURD, YE CAN GETTIT ON GAME PASS!!11”
Like no, f*k off with that garbage “solution” to dodging EGS exclusivity. Gimme the game where I want it, not as some digital “rent-able”
F….. them
