La Quimera feature-1

La Quimera is a new futuristic sci-fi shooter from former Metro: Exodus devs

Reburn, an indie dev studio formed by leading talent behind the award-winning Metro series, today announced its debut title, La Quimera. La Quimera is a sci-fi first-person futuristic shooter, and you can find its debut trailer below.

La Quimera takes place across a breathtaking Latin American megalopolis and lush jungle setting, where the player steps into the customizable exosuit of a down-on-their-luck PMC soldier battling against rival factions. The world and narrative of La Quimera is written and created by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and E.J.A. Warren. Combining Latin American folklore with highly advanced weaponry and technology, La Quimera will be playable in single-player or with up to two friends in co-op – for a total of three players. Fans of the Metro series will enjoy familiar tense gunplay and intimate storytelling combined with new game experiences through unique and highly detailed environments, characters and weapons.

Dmytro Lymar, founder and CEO of Reburn, said.

“Reburn is proud to introduce La Quimera, which draws upon our success crafting narrative-driven shooter games for the Metro series. We look forward to sharing this mysterious new world with players and hope they revel in suiting up to join the fight.”

Reburn’s roster of more than 110 developers includes lead gameplay designers, artists, sound engineers, programmers, and more from across the entire Metro series, including the original Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and 2019’s Metro Exodus, as well as the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light and Exodus gameplay and AI designer Sasha Kostiuk serves as project lead on La Quimera. CEO and founder Dmytro Lymar has worked in games since 2006, and previously served as director and CEO of 4A Games Ukraine.

    1. Sure, so that only 1% of the population can play their games. They are that stupid to shoot themselves in the foot. Nice of you to wish them financial ruin./s

        1. Progress is only possible when the technology can be used by the masses. We live in a capitalist society, you fecking idiot and no large company that gives a rat's a$$ about its bottom line would do what you're proposing – to limit their audience to 1% of the population.

You wait and see. Steam hardware survey also helps to gauge what hardware the devs are basing their future games around.

    1. Totally agree; why do the characters look like Latinos when the game is set in a futuristic Latin America? /s

      1. hahah, i dislike the latino look i'm not saying it;s not ok to be in a game set in Latin America. But even so there's something off about how they look
