It appears that IGN has leaked the trailer and the release date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Yup, Warhorse’s new title – which will be officially revealed later today – is indeed a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Not only that but the game will be released later this year.
So first things first. The title of the new game will be Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. So, my guess is that it continues Henry’s story. Although the leaked video is of low quality, I believe that’s Henry who appears in it.
In theory, the full trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be lengthier. After all, the leaked trailer is from a YouTube Short. From what I can see, it also appears to be an in-engine trailer and not a CG trailer.
Unfortunately, I still don’t know whether the game will be using CRYENGINE or whether it has ditched it over Unreal Engine 5. Kingdom Come: Deliverance was one of the best-looking games of 2018. In theory, the team will stick with CRYENGINE as it’s familiar with it. If that’s the case, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 may be one of the very few current-gen titles powered by Crytek’s engine.
Deep Silver will officially reveal Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in a few hours. Thus, I’ll be sure to update this story with the official details once we get them.

You’re both wrong. Crysis 1 didn’t suck, but it is overrated. It was indeed a tech demo. A very impressive tech demo, but a tech demo nonetheless. I play it whenever I put together a new PC because it’s been a benchmark for so long, but I don’t get that much enjoyment out of it. It does have its moments here and there, but ultimately it’s a 6/10 game. Warhead’s a bit better mainly because of Psycho, but not by much.

cysis sucked, the ai sucked, the gameplay sucked, the combat sucked, the physics were buggy, it sucked far cry was better at least crysis 2 was polished but it was half the game.
I always hated crysis since the beginning, it was laughable how buggy and unpolished the game was back then, let alone now that far cry is far more polished and advanced, crysis was never good, it did not use more than what 2 cores when it came out, maybe 4 threads but thats about it, i remember trying to play it 5 years ago and i could not set the shadows higher than medium or a memory leak made the entire game run in 20 fps, an absolute unoptimized disaster. Trying to hype this game as the next doom quake or half life 2 is laughable, unreal has done far more for pc gaming and consoles than crysis or cytek.

i never use a controller, its just that crysis sucks. i just finished half life echoes and field intensity this is like 15 hours of good half life content and its free, meanwhile the best mod crysis has to offer is that trash broken stargate mod.

Blame the pirates. Deep Silver put many games DRM-free on GOG and then Russian pirates stole them and distributed them en masse.
The number of pirates from Russia, China and India on PC has exploded, and more and more developers will be forced to implement Denuvo.
The best DRM at this point is simply not translating your game in Russian, because your game is going to be pirated in 24 hours if it is.
And piracy does hurt sales. As the FT pointed out, Netflix profits surged after they cracked down on password-sharing.

first one is ok for a nature sim w some janky fighting and such really needed a TPP switch in some situations. It’s not a hand holding game though good or bad. it took me a while to get into this one. Hopefully I can find the time to really commit to finishing it before this one is out. The systems really immerse and sink you into the game but they can be jarring to come back to after time away. 2 of my friends who really sold me on the game last year still havent finished it themselves.
And that’s a fact.
I always play it for a while, and then if I start another game, this one tends to be forgotten. It’s awesome, but quite hard. The fighting system is the main vilain in terms of hardness.
But man, once you take the time to learn and master the combat, this game becomes so much fun.
By the end, you and Henry both feel like you’ve grown from absolute commoners to becoming deserved Knights.
This game is just soo good man.

I think it is Cryengine they will be using. The fine print at the end of the video mentions Crytek software licence. Cryengine is also mentioned on the Steam page.

KCD 1 was on DX11 and this paired with devs who never did anything on CryEngine was the core problems of all KCD problems. You can use DXVK, and I can tell you my brother in Christ, that this game with Vulkan runs smooth af, with FPS Boosted.
Moving on to KCD 2, they are still using CryEngine, even Crytek has problems with this engine, which is they own tech, so let’s that sink in.
Still it’s good to see game on different engine than Unreal 5.
