inZOI is a new Unreal Engine 5-powered life simulation game, aiming to rival EA’s The Sims

KRAFTON has just announced a new life simulation game that will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, called inZOI. From what we know so far, inZOI will be a direct rival to EA’s The Sims franchise, and below you can find its first gameplay trailer.

inZOI is a life simulation game where players become gods within the game. This will allow them to change everything as they wish and experience endless new stories in various forms of life. So, basically, it will be a new The Sims game. Or at least that’s what its description implies.

As KRAFTON has noted, this gameplay trailer is from an early version of the game, and it does not represent the quality of the final product. Performance also appears to be a bit rough. Nevertheless, this trailer can at least give us an idea of its graphics. And, I’m pretty sure that The Sims 5 won’t be able to compete with it. So, when it comes to presentation, inZOI will most likely look better than its competition.

What’s also interesting is that inZOI will be playable at the G-STAR 2023 event. Attendees will be able to visit KRAFTON’s booth and actually play the game. So no, this isn’t “another scam game with an amazing trailer”.

KRAFTON plans to release inZOI in late 2024. So yeah, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon. And, let’s hope that the final product will look as impressive as the following screenshots.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. there are other sims clones out here like: life by you, paralives, tiny life and vivaland. Life by you is the best since you can control your character in third person.

    1. Life By You sounds promising. If there’s any California pozz, at least the game sounds like it’ll be super moddable by design.

Paradox Interactive though, so I fully expect the DLCs to be as out of control as EA The Sims ones are.

    2. LBY was already canceled, it looked very bad compared to inZOI which they saw very well in Paradox. inZOI could really change the Life Sim market.

    1. How dare you expect truth and justice. Give us your money and stop speaking truths.

I love it man, never stop. Keep calling out the nonsense.

  2. Unreal Engine has become a blemish on a game’s resume. Unreal Engine serves as a telltale sign that makes one apprehensive instead of a selling point, it’s very popular among amateur and hobbyist developers. These developers are often unable to even patch their game properly, since they can’t code and just use the GUI.

It’s like when workers show up in a pick-up instead of a cargo van. The guy using the pick-up and tiny truckbed has no room to carry serious material, he could be a hobbyist claiming to be a professional. The guy with the van bought a vehicle to get work done, he likely has more experience.

  3. Half the comments are asking what that catchy song is, instead of the game.

🎵“Once bitten, twice shy. What goes around comes back around, multiplied by 25. It’s written in the sky.”

I can’t find the song, I wonder if it was made just for this game, I doubt it.

  4. Ah, it’s being made Koreans. That explains why the female characters look fairly decent.

I fully expect that this will never see v1.0 release.
