Earlier this month, we reported on a new game from the devs behind Robocop: Rogue City. And today, NACON and Teyon have officially announced this new game, which is called Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish.
Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish will be an action RPG, in which players will hunt the creatures of the World of Darkness. Moreover, the devs claim that your choices will determine whether you live another day.
In the game, you will be able to personalize your character, from their appearance to their merits and flaws, before embarking on the hunt. Your safe house will be an old bar, which serves as the perfect headquarters to consolidate your resources, organize your equipment, and strategize your next move. As the story unfolds, your safe house will evolve, becoming a true hideout for other lonely souls ready to fight the Darkness with you.
You will be able to spy, infiltrate, hack, threaten, and steal to get the job done. Regarding combat, the game will have both melee and gun mechanics. You can use a studded baseball bat, a silver blade, a gun, or whatever you can get your hands on.
In Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, you will meet several companions in misfortune. Each has their own story, trauma, creed, and drive. During the game, you will decide whom to trust, share your secrets, or your heart. You will forge deep bonds during investigations or over coffee, before entrusting them with your life in the final confrontation. Their support during missions can be invaluable, but it may also become a burden that leads to a tragic end.
All in all, this is a huge departure from Teyon’s previous titles. This sounds like a more ambitious action RPG than what we got with Terminator: Resistance. So, it will be interesting to see whether the devs will be able to deliver a game that sounds and plays like what you just read.
NACON currently plans to release Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish in Q3 2027.
