Here is what you’ll need to run Total War: Warhammer 2 with 60fps + graphics settings fully unveiled

SEGA and Creative Assembly have revealed the full graphics settings for Total War: Warhammer 2. In addition, the teams revealed the PC specs that gamers will need in order to run the game with 60fps.

Among other things, Total War: Warhammer 2 will feature improved Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), new volumetric fog system which thickens the air, producing god-ray effects, a new sharpening filter and impressive wet-look surfaces, appropriate to certain models and model features.

Rob Bartholomew, Brand Director, said:

“We’re in the final stage of development now and very excited by the comments coming out of our closed testing and mock reviews. Loads of love for the new features, races and the sheer volume of gameplay. Great to see that expectation reflected in the number of pre-orders being placed, it really helps motivate us for that final push.”

    1. It’s a heavy effect and can really only be seen on armor when zoomed in that close. Due to game’s overly fast pace (since shogun2) you never zoom in even to see unit vs. unit battle. So SSR is something you would really notice only in replays or when paused. It’s implementation vs. cost is thus questionable

  1. Doesn’t really matter, to me with a GTX 1080 and an old school I7, playing almost maxed at 1440p, it is all good on 1v1 battles, it kinda holds the 45-70 fps. The problem is playing the campaign with 2 forces at the same time because lest face it, you rarely ever send just one force, as the reenforcements coming in randomly on one side of the map, 1 at a time just sucks. But then it is just a murder on the FPS, not because of the graphics card, you can play it on low and it wont make much of a difference, the CPU is what gets completely destroyed.

    1. What’s so funny about that? Those are the lowest settings, so squeezing out a bit more power may be important.
By the way, some people may prefer static portraits and choose them even at Ultra settings.
