Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is the first Harvest Moon game that will be officially released on the PC

Natsume and Rising Star Games today announced an all-new title, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, and this is the first time the Harvest Moon brand will be on Steam. Natsume also revealed that the title will be playable on the PC in its booth at E3 2017 in June.

In Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, players begin the game as they set out looking for a fresh start and new surroundings.

“During their voyage, their ship is hit by a monsoon and goes down. As they drift into a small harbor town, now in a shambles from the storm, it will be up to the player to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse…but it won’t be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town!”

Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume, said:

“Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will set itself apart from other Harvest Moon titles with its depth, including a robust story and clear-cut goals. We set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events, and we are excited to have our fans play it at E3 and tell us what they think!”

Martin Defries, Managing Director, Rising Star Games, added:

“Partnering with Natsume for over a decade, we’ve been delighted to bring the joyful gameplay of Harvest Moon to fans in Europe and beyond. We are excited to be part of the unveiling of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope at E3”.

  1. Kinda a hard sell with Stardew Valley available. Even the Harvest Moon series creator said that Stardew Valley carries on the series’ legacy.

  2. Never heard of this IP before (never cared about Stardew Valley, either), but hey, “the first Harvest Moon game that will be officially released on the PC”

PC Gaming is dying, people, & this is what it looks like!

    ;D

    1. “Never heard of this IP before”

      how old are you…………
how can you even say your a gamer……. dude, you never heard of harvest moon before………. wtf

      1. It’s a (formerly) console-exclusive farming sim. I don’t care about farming sims, & I only know so many NInturdo games.

        Oh, the tragedy.

  3. No game has ever made me sweat like Harvest Moon 64! It made me realize how stressful farming can be.

Changed my life. So, study hard kids so you don’t end up as a farmer.

  4. as much as i like stardew valley, its doesn’t come close to the feeling of playing a harvest moon game. (the old ones that is …)If this one is as good as they say it will be interesting to see how good it sells on steam.

  5. Interestingly this isn’t quite Harvest Moon, since there are actually two ‘Harvest Moon’ series. When Marvelous decided to use Xseed for localisation instead of Natsume, they lost the naming rights of Harvest Moon in the west. So now Natsume (the name holder) is making their own Harvest Moon games, while the original series done by Marvelous now goes by Story of Seasons.
