Microsoft has just revealed the official PC requirements for Halo Wars 2. PC gamers will need at least a modern-day quad-core CPU with 6GB of RAM, Windows 10 (64-bit version) and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7750 graphics card.
Microsoft recommends an Intel Core i5-4690K or AMD FX-8350 CPU with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 480.
Halo Wars 2 is currently planned for a February 21st release.

If you are wondering what “Hardware Feature Level 12” means run dxdiag (type it in the search bar), click display and under driver/features all the supported feature levels will be there. Feature level 12 is Resource Binding Tier 2, Tiled Resources Tier 2 (Texture2D), Typed UAV Loads.

Say what you want but i do love that some times any GPU can play a game that is modern. Brings more PC gamers together. My first PC had Intel graphics which were terrible yet it could play GTA SA and Project64 games more then enough to convince me that PC gaming was for me.

During my broke college student years, I stopped playing my 360 in favor of using my crappy laptop with an i5 450U (and the associated iGPU). Got me into some of my all time favorite series (Thief, System Shock, classic Fallout) and saved me a ton of money. Only being able to play old/indie games forced me to branch out and play stuff I otherwise wouldn’t.
These requirements seem reasonable to me. Although i haven’t seen what the game looks like.
so about a $800 amd system and a $1000 intel system and it wont be much better then the xbox one s or xbox scorpio this year….ill always take console over pc.

PC has the most gamer-friendly options youll ever see. Free mods to extend and enhance a plethra of games, free online where consoles have a “pay us to be social” feature, custom servers which can be privatized to play with friends only in a modded environment. Ability to use almost any controller thats ever been or will ever be conceived by mankind. Emulators of every system ever made, more options as to how you want your game to look and perform. Have fun doing EXACTLY what the devs tell you to for your whole life, expandable/upgradable hardware at any given moment in case you do want that extra 30fps or eye candy at TRUE 4k even 5K. More responsive controls due to lack of input lag caused by controllers and TVs as well as a very unresponsive 30fps. Having your entire game library ready to launch at a single mouse click and affordability. If you dont believe me on that one look up the Potato Masher PC its a 350$ PC that runs GTAV at 4K 30fps. Consoles are for kiddies and CoD fanatics or people who enjoy having literally 0 options at their disposal and love being told how to play a game they like. Oh and you people have to deal with those pathetic “console wars” which just shows how immature the console player base really is. You console faboys are worse and more violent to each other that PC players are to console players.

the truth is a troll consoles have mods,console multiplayer is x10 better then pc with no hackers and cheaters and xbox scorpio will play games in 4k this year and is much cheaper then a 4k gaming pc.

you have mods for 2 games lol we have around 200+, why are console kiddies getting banned for CoD aimbots as well as overwatch hacks on ps4 and xb1 not to mention the battlefield modders on console and halo for that matter. as for scorpio lets see how many minutes it takes for that thing to become obsolete…oh wait, it already is
so? mods on console and they are the two most popular games fallout 4 and skyrim.nothing else really matters you guys do have gta 5 mods but5 that was a game launched on the ps3.
most pc games arnt worth modding except the witcher 3 maybe gta5.other wise meh on pc mods.
scorpio is a mid gen up grade that will do 4k gaming.3 years later the xbox two will be out consoles are getting graphics upgrades every 3 years much like pc gpu’s.
also your considering maxed settings, to run the game the same as xb1 itll be way less since it can run on intergrated graphics on a cpu so actually cheaper than a console, good job idiot
