Halo: The Master Chief Collection – Halo 3: ODST will cost $4.99, all other Halo games will cost $9.99 each

Microsoft has revealed the price for each individual Halo game that will be coming on the PC via the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. According to the team, each title can be purchased individually and almost all of them, Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4, will be offered at $9.99USD on both the Microsoft Store and Steam.

On the other hand, Halo 3: ODST will be available for $4.99USD (though do note that ODST will only have a Campaign according to the company).

Microsoft stated that players will have flexibility to purchase any or all the games at any point along the way as they become available.

Moreover, the company confirmed that each game within The Master Chief Collection will be included with an Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription as they become available.

Last but not least, Microsoft claimed that it will offer attendees a chance to get hands-on with an in-progress demo of Halo: Reach on PC and share feedback with the team.

  1. pretty fair price in my opinion, especially since you can opt to individually buy the games and save $10 on the ones you don’t want, aka halo 4

  2. Wish it was just one purchase TBH, Because how this collection works It’s going to hurt the multiplayer greatly not having player numbers for all the games.

  3. They know it will sell like hot cakes on PC. Now they must polished the game in order to keep it selling.

  4. it sounded great at first but they’re actually over charging you. $60 with tax for all of the games. $25 on Xbox for the whole thing. even with that said, i still can’t wait to play this on PC eventually.

Edit – “Microsoft stated that players will have flexibility to purchase any or all the games at any point along the way as they become available.”

there better be a discount for the bundle version.

    1. A lot of work went into these, dont be such a petty entitled cheap azz. You cant even go out for a decent dinner for $50.

You’ll just need to get another paper route or wait for the that $10 birthday cheque from your Grandmother to cover this inexcusably “exorbitant” price.

      1. Entitled over a luxury item?
Are you re**rded or do you just spout reddit shill buzzwords nonsensically to try and see what sticks?

        1. That would be you.

You just crushed your own stupid comment in your own comment.

          Luxury item. Entitled.

If games are a luxury item, crying like a little girl each time they’re over 50 cents makes you an entitled little piece of garbage. You think you should get things for cheap just because you want them.

          1. If games are a luxury item I should be ale to give out opinions and a piece of my mind.

    2. Who cares. They could charged 50$ a game and I would buy them. People have been screaming for these games to come to PC. We got what we wanted. We are talking thousands of hours of game play for a 60$. And for once a company is doing something we asked. No b*llsh*t, no compromises. No exclusives nonsense. No misconstructions.

    3. Hardly. Halo 1, 2, 3, 4, Reach, ODST, all in the same package, plus Halo 1 and 2 anniversary edition. For $55. 6 of those games (annivesary aren’t really new games though) finally on PC for the first time ever.

          1. MS confirmed it with windowscentral. All you had to do was a qucik google search, which i would suggest before you state something that was confirmed false months ago. I posted a link but it has to be cleared first of course so idk how long that will take. It was also confirmed on the halo waypoint forums by sketch, i dont like the link approval on this site so i wont post that but again you can search for it pretty quickly.

          2. “xbox live wont be needed to play online”

The article states “MCC on PC will require an Xbox Live account” so evidently you’re wrong. It may not require an Xbox Live Gold membership but my above comment didn’t in any way pertain to Xbox Live Gold so that’s a moot point.

“All you had to do was a qucik google search, which i would suggest before you state something that was confirmed false months ago”

You may wish to actually read the information you’re linking to next time so to spare yourself from any further embarrassment.

All you had to do was to have taken an elementary class in reading comprehension before stating something that was confirmed to be false months ago. gg ?

EDIT: Haha! Your embarrassment caused you to delete your comments. What a coward! Unfortunately for you I quoted your words.

          3. When people talk about xbox live its almost always about the subscription service of xbox live being xbox gold. Dont act like thats not what you were talking about

  5. Most importantly, does my XB game key transfer to MS store or do I have to buy it again?

I’ll buy the package on Steam but I’m not paying for the game on MS store, again.
