CD Projekt has revealed the first details about GOG GALAXY 2.0. According to the team, with GOG GALAXY 2.0 players will be able to combine multiple libraries into one and connect with your friends across all gaming platforms.
Piotr Karwowski, Managing Director at GOG, said:
“As gamers, we need to juggle between multiple clients to access our games and see what our friends are playing. We believe gamers deserve a better experience, and this became the driving force to redefine GOG GALAXY client. GOG GALAXY 2.0 is designed for all gamers and extends well beyond existing GOG.COM users, into both PC and console platforms.”
Once you connect GOG GALAXY 2.0 with other platforms, it will import all your games into one library. You will see your friends activities and online status across connected platforms. And it’s designed to protect your privacy – your data belongs to you and will never be shared with third parties. We see it as an all-in-one solution for the present-day gamer.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. GoG, with or without Galaxy, is the only way to fly. Galaxy 2 is an optional, pro-consumer bonus. CDPG has the only real store front not trying to pull some bs or flooded with scammers (for now).
And now that GoG has a few years under it, EGS and Steam can both jump off a bridge as far as I’m concerned. As it grows in popularity from smart consumers leading the way by demanding quality from these stores and publishers, companies will support it more especially knowing full well that DRM doesnt do much for long.

Haha, I knew you would too ???
john wtf is wrong with disqus, why do our comments get marked as spam instantly?
Amazing how with 1 swipe they destroyed epic games lol
lmao
I don’t know which is funnier. Epic games screw ups or comments like these.
I guess comments like these , since gog is actually trying to do something for consumer unlike epic
They didn’t destroyed Epic. Unfortunately. Steam (Valve) and PC gamers are the only one who can destroy Epic.
Finally. Some good news amidst all the cancer spread by the mealymouthed Tim Swiney
Love it.
They knew GOG was never gonna be as popular as Steam (even though imo it’s a better platform) so they let gamers connect all their platforms.
Smart move.
Good job CDPR+GOG

I’ll try it 100% guaranteed. Epic store still not installed.
That says alot.
I assume it’ll launch steam/uplay/origin whatever in the background?
I don’t see a way around that. You’d still have to install those launchers on your system. Except if they maybe emulate the functions of those Launchers like authenticator/DRM etc. But I doubt thats legal.
Peolpe, we should help more, in their last financial result GOG had a net loss of
1.5 million PLN. they are the only good guys in the business, they should be making profits.
GOG should be the ones ocupying the headlines with every move they do, not the ePig Game Store
I can’t agree more man
I wonder how they will achieve all this with all those different APIs. Steams API is mostly open so that seems easy but it should be harder with Battlenet or Epic Store, right?
