Now here is something that will please a lot of fans who love games with huge destruction. Aggressive Mastery has just released Giantess Playground on Epic Early Access. So, let’s see what this new indie game brings to the table.
In this game, players will unleash total mayhem as a towering Giantess in a no-holds-barred destruction sandbox. They will be able to stomp through bustling cities like they’re their personal playground, crushing skyscrapers into rubble. Or they can assume the role of a civilian and dodge the colossal, earth-shaking stomps of the Giantess.
Basically, this is a Godzilla-like game using Unreal Engine 5. Instead of Godzilla, though, you will control a Giantess. The city featured here is UE5’s Megacity. So, the game will look amazing from the get-go. And, as you will see, the destruction looks so cool.
Giantess Playground has three game modes. These are: Hide and Seek, Sandbox Mode, and Rampage Mode. In Hide and Seek, the Giantess hunts the civilians. In Sandbox Mode, you can destroy the entire city, with no limits on what you can spawn in to play with. Finally, in Rampage Mode, the Giantess grows bigger with everything you destroy. Your goal will be to crush it all before the time runs out to increase your score.
Giantess Playground is a pure fan destruction game with some fan service. To be honest, I’d love to see a mod that replaces the Giantess with Godzilla. I know it won’t be possible to release this as a DLC due to copyright issues. But man, that would have been THE Godzilla game for me. In a way, it would be a remaster of the Godzilla game for the SEGA Dreamcast.
Before closing, I should note that this is mostly a one-man game. As such, you should temper your expectations. There isn’t a big studio behind it. Still, this is a really fun game that has a lot of destruction.
Those interested can buy the game from here. Below, you can also find its latest trailer.
Have fun!
