Gestalt Steam & Cinder feature

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is a new 16/32bit Castlevania-inspired game, coming to PC this May

Castlevania fans, here is something for you today. Fireshine Games has announced a new 2D action game with RPG elements that is inspired by 16/32-bit classics like Castlevania and Metroid. This new game is called Gestalt: Steam & Cinder and is coming to PC this May.

In Gestalt: Steam & Cinder, players will assume the role of Aletheia and tread the path of the Soldner, an elite mercenary of Irkalla who lives one job at a time. Players will be able to fight their enemies with a sword and a gun, combining a slew of melee combos and deadly gunplay in staggering feats of skill.

As with most recent retro action retro titles, you’ll be able to dash, dodge, and double-jump. You’ll also have an array of abilities to upgrade. Like in most Castlevania-inspired games, you’ll be able to spend experience points to unlock new skills and trade scrap for accessories to customize your build.

To be honest, I like everything I saw in the following trailer. The game appears to have a great art style, and the animations are really smooth. The combat also appears to be quite good. So, this could be a hit on Steam when it comes out.

Fireshine Games plans to release Gestalt: Steam & Cinder on May 21st. Oh, and there is also a free demo you can download from Steam. So, go ahead and get it.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Another woke game featuring a strong female character whose closest male friend is black, like 90% of recent releases, huh? Yawn.

    1. Meanwhile your profile has a thumbnail of a strong female character. Kind of ironic but whatever. The trailer showed a couple of other characters, all of which who are white and looked normal, but somehow the black one stuck out for you.

I hate it whenever developers are forced to check boxes but at least this protagonist looks decent by modern standards since she has all her hair, looks feminine and isn’t overweight.

  2. I was recommended this website by my cousin I am not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know such detailed about my difficulty You are wonderful Thanks

  3. Your ability to distill complex concepts into digestible nuggets of wisdom is truly remarkable. I always come away from your blog feeling enlightened and inspired. Keep up the phenomenal work!
