Gearbox has announced Borderlands 4, coming to PC in 2025

Now here is a nice surprise. Gearbox and 2K Games have just announced the next part in the Borderlands series, Borderlands 4. To celebrate this announcement, the teams shared a teaser trailer that you can find below.

As its description reads, in this next installment of the definitive looter shooter, players will assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they blast their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to loot on an all-new planet.

And… well… that’s it. The game is obviously in early development right now. And, to be honest, I don’t believe it will hit its 2025 release target.

I mean, all we got is a pre-rendered teaser trailer. No screenshots, no details, no in-engine trailer. This is just an announcement to spark interest. So, realistically, expect Borderlands 4 in 2026.

Enjoy the pointless teaser trailer and stay tuned for more!

    1. why do people whine about the movie? It looks just as cringe stupid unfunnyand juvenile as the actual game series its based on.

        1. Heck its shocking how bad BL3 was considering Pre-Sequel was also fun and Wonderlands is much more tolerable and fun than BL3.

  1. Been playing wonderlands with some friends this past week and man these games can be real mindless fun with some decent humour. Hopefully its more of that instead of the tiresome spin borderlands 3 came out as.

    1. "decent humor"

lmao, my dude borderlands is responsible for

      -cringe milenial writing
      -"art style" crayon colors
      -repetitive grindfest gameplay
      -bullet spongy enemies
      -destiny 2 looter shooter slop
      -"games as a service" crap.

      Please kill it with fire.

      1. me and two other friends were getting through the forest board in wonderlands and found a subquest that involved legally distinct smurfs and an analogue of gargamel named garglesnot. Almost fell out of my chair the way the character was depicted. I can understand not liking the genre or the franchise but wonderlands does remind me of when the series was pretty fun or just not borderlands 3 lol.

        1. references arent that funny, if you think so go play fallout 2, its riddled with pop culture references

          1. lol its not simply just the references. It’s the whole quest line that was pretty funny including the references, but also the structure, tasks and engagements at least to my old self and pals. I think my kids probably wouldnt get it though if they even knew who the smurfs were. Fallout 2 is cool too but I’ve had my fill of it.

  2. Tell randy ditchwork to quit making trash vidoe games. All borderlands games are grindy trash with cancer writing.

  3. "I have a dream that one day people will stop buying bordelands slop with cringe writing and bulletspongy enemies and grindy repettive gameplay and gearbox will go under, that one day games will be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their cringe crayon style and repettive slop gameplay"

    1. its crazy the drop in quality for only that entry. I've been playing wonderlands with friends after he picked it up and we've been having a blast as opposed to when we all dropped bl3. I remember having so much fun especially in the pre-sequel too.
