    1. Pirates have had many chances to break the uwp protection yet they haven’t.

A demo would not enable them even further. That makes no sense

      1. wanna talk examples? alright, how about about doom demo blowing the doors off denuvo protected full game, even in your examples quantum break was bypassed – whether it will be cracked day0 or not microsoft doesn’t want to risk it

        1. If they’re piss-scared of us breaking down their copy protections “because of pre-release demo’s”, then all they need to do is release the demo without DRM.

There’s seriously no reason for the DOOM demo to feature Denuvo, for example. I mean, ffs, it’s free!

          1. completely agree, but I’m coming from microsoft silly point of view, after all they provide xbox demo but not pc

        2. you don’t need to convince me, because I’m of the same opinion, but if only microsoft would change their scewed point of view on all this..

        3. Quantum Break was not by passed it just didn’t check your license when it launches so people could just share the full game without doing anything extra to the files

    2. More like they’re afraid we’ll find out how f*cked up the game is right now, which will cause the pre-release hype train to fall off the rails in one of those epic slow-motion train wreck scenarios, after it’s already collided with another train & caused a glorious

      KA-BOOM!

      1. If you afraid that your PC is too slow to play Forza then you can check free Forza Motorport 6 Apex. Both games use that same game engine “Forza Tech 6”. Free Forza Motorsport 6 Apex was tech demo for PC to check quality of drivers, check support on different hardware etc. MS said that this free game was played by 7 million gamers.

BTW. MS said that they delay demo because they want give AMD and Nvidia time for day-1 drivers. You can’t release game demo 2 weeks before “game ready” driver.

        1. By “f*cked up” I actually meant how buggy, uncompressed, unoptimized, etc. it might quite possibly be, since, as you may have noticed, it is pretty much standard in the industry right now to be quite lazy, instead of doing things right.

That’s a good excuse, I’ll give them that (source?), & hey, maybe it really is true, but with Microsoft, you can never really know, can you.

    3. Turn10 said that they want to wait for Day-1 “game ready” drivers from Nvidia and AMD. This is very important game to MS and they don’t want people play it 2 weeks before “game ready” drivers will be available

    1. That’s exactly what they want to do. Google “embrace extend extinguish” & read up, they’re doing the same thing here, just in an evolved (read; more discrete) form.

Microsoft has re-adopted the same old ideology in recent years; “We know what’s best for you, so surrender yourselves (willingly) to the almighty Big Brother Microsoft, all in the name & pursuit of “better service & security” for [you]! (& of course, greater profits, control & power for us, but let’s not talk about that part).”

After all, what’s the harm in giving yourself over to one of the shadiest Mega-Corporations in the world? Definitely no chance &/or risk of abuse there, nope! I mean, it’s not like they’ve repeatedly abused consumers before, to the point where they were almost broken up……

    2. You can add review when you own game. If you preoder game then you can add review before release. There are also many people play it now for exaple journalists like Eurogamer, IGN, Gamesport etc

      1. Doesn’t change the fact it’s a stupid system and it is stupid to allow people who preorder the game to review the game when they haven’t even played it.Although Sony is worse they don’t even restrict people’s reviews so anyone can put a review on a random game of a number scale.

        1. You’re right. But you can’t refuse add early reviews to people who already play that game. Yesterday I read early review on Eurogamer (article: “Forza Horizon 3: still the only racing game for everyone – The wizard of Oz”) so they play that game at least one week or more.

          1. What do you mean review copies to websites? If so ya review copies should be early. But they should still play it.But honestly i think a good system for a review ( on the store) is to restrict reviews to one hour of play time this would stop reviews that don’t even play the game and it would allow people to actually think if they like it or not.

          2. My bad, You can’t add reviews on preoders. I check this a minute ago and I can’t add review to my preorder. So it is possible that they show some old reviews from old xbox store. Before Xbox get Redstone 1 update it use own store when you can add stars to any game even when you don’t have it. They change that in august on update 1607

          3. Or, alternatively, just feature website reviews separately. That way they can even nitpick a bunch of high-ranking moron sites like PC Gamer & IGN, & show off how much those sycophants loved it.

  1. MS said that they want give AMD and Nvidia time for day-1 drivers. You can’t release game demo 2 weeks before “game ready” driver. Nvidia generic driver is not very good in DX12

    1. Where did they say that… And why can you only get the $99 Edition on the 22nd but the standard editon on the 26th? WTF

  2. That usually means the game isn’t finished for Pc. That’s not a good sign. Sounds like it will be a really bad port. Microsoft really need to make a games software like origin or uplay. I hate going to the m$ store and seeing candy crush games everywhere, it’s so annoying.

    1. Considering how good Forza 6 Apex runs, and the ridiculous amount of graphics options it has, and the fact this is on the same engine, i very much doubt this will run poorly or be a bad port you pleb.

      1. Mad Max, Just Cause 3.

        Arkham Knight, Arkham Origins.

        etc. etc. etc.

“Same studio” & “same engine” mean sh*t these days.

  3. Been playing the Demo on my Xbox1 and you can tell the game is crying for PC hardware… And the 30 fps is just to much for me to take for a race game..

    1. At least its not hard-locked at 30.

Remember that “oh, but it’s more cinematic at 30!” thing? That was over a racing game >.>

  4. Yea i just saw that, how can you score a game you havnt even touched yet? Some people never learn…DONT PRE ORDER!!!!!

  5. Another classic throwaway comment from the mighty MS:
“We invite all players who are eager to play Forza on PC to try “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex”, available now in the Windows 10 Store for free.” Translates to: “Pft..whatever – stop whining”

Oh well, at least The Crew – Complete is free from today, that’ll do. Thank you UbiSoft (Never thought I’d be saying that..Ever!!!) 😛

  6. Played Apex and it ran flawlessly. Cant wait for this game. The Xbox version already looks gorgeous, cant imagine how it’d look in 4K.
