Snail Games has officially announced their new AAA space-themed “open universe” survival title, For The Stars, coming to current-gen consoles and PC. Playing as an intrepid explorer and scientist, For The Stars invites you to travel from world to world, uncovering the secrets of alien civilizations, seeking out rare and exotic creatures and harnessing resources to tame the deadly biomes you encounter on a vast array of diverse planets waiting to be explored.
In For The Stars’ ambitious persistent multiplayer universe, you will establish and expand outposts across the cosmos, conquer the challenges of hostile biomes, forge alliances and build a legacy that spans the galaxy.
As the press release reads, the game promises to have diverse worlds. Each planet you visit will offer new challenges and rewards, with distinct ecosystems, creatures and resources. From lush, verdant worlds to barren, rocky landscapes, the variety ensures no two explorations are the same.
Players will be able to collect and harness strange resources found on different planets. They will also build advanced outposts, craft powerful tools, and develop cutting-edge technology needed to overcome each world’s challenges.
Moreover, they will be able to establish and expand outposts on various planets. Players will balance their needs with laboratories, factories, and living quarters.
The game will also have all those features that a lot of similar games have. So, you can expect extensive research, the ability to customize your spacecraft, weapon customization, and multiplayer exploration.
In short, it’s a game that I’m not really interested. As with Chernobylite 2, I’m not into that “craft/survive/build/expand” type of games. So, that’s an easy pass for me!

Don't we have enough worthless space/SciFi sandbox games? At least No Man's Sky eventually added some story and events, but it still gets pretty boring after a while.
exactly i was gonna comment how we got another of those games and its so tiresome, the only survival game that i played recently and was good was abiotic factor because its basically half life 1 but you play as the scientists. I tried playing no mans sky multiple times, it run like crap and it was repettive grinding with a small inventory, this was years ago, i dnt see how people enjoy this but hate starfield. I never got into any of these "story" you are talking about, it was endless grinding crap . I thought about giving it yet another shot but since the updates keep coming i wont play it until its final.
The story starts as a set of objectives to familiarize you with the game, and continues as a quest to find someone. There's no cutscenes, and any exposition or dialog is done in fictional alien languages so you're reading subtitles the entire time.
which?
No Man's Sky. I don't know anything about For The Stars.
Well, it's Snail Games, so I guess they still didn't reach the year where No Man's Sky was released, in order to understand that shït sücks.

same for me
So it's basically a not-shit No Man's Sky?
Yay… More garbage from snail games. They obviously aren't done flooding the market with buggy, unfinished messes. Dark and light, ASA, Pixark to name a few..
