Fatekeeper feature

First-person RPG, Fatekeeper, looks phenomenal in its first trailer

THQ Nordic has just announced a new first-person fantasy RPG that looks absolutely incredible, called Fatekeeper. This game will be coming to Steam Early Access this Winter, and you can find below its debut gameplay trailer.

In Fatekeeper, players explore a carefully built world full of old ruins that tell stories of past disasters. You’ll learn how to fight with swords and use magic. Along the way, you’ll find powerful relics and spells. The choices you make will shape your character and your journey.

The game will have many different places to explore. Players will visit old battlefields, huge underground caves, peaceful forests, and ancient temples that have been lost over time.

Players will fight many different enemies, each with their own moves, strengths, and weak spots. To win, you’ll need to be skilled and ready. You’ll use fast sword attacks, cast spells carefully, and change your strategy during battle.

In a way, Fatekeeper will remind you of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. So, if you are a fan of it, you should definitely keep an eye on this RPG.

Finally, you’ll find and collect lots of different weapons, armor, and magical items. You will also be able to choose the gear that fits your style of play and try out cool combos to help you beat tougher enemies.

In my opinion, this was the game that stole the show. This was the best game that THQ Nordic showed. And that’s why it deserves its own article. Yeah, we also got a confirmation of a new Darksiders game. But Fatekeeper had a proper gameplay trailer. And that makes it more exciting.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. The visuals, and environments looks great, but when they are showing combat, there is only one enemy at time, which looks hollow.
In Dark Messiah, most of the time there were at least 2–3 enemies, and even more nearby.

    1. Problem is a lot of publishers show only story whereas they show a lot of gameplay. That's somewhat of a sign they might be missing storyline. Hope that's not the case. Ragdolls look pretty good, not as good as euphoria engine but still.

  2. I was gonna whine that its another medieval fantasy rpg, but actually indian/java style setting. Ok ill allow it.

    1. Really? I don't see any recent game reminding me of it, though.

      1. I believe there have been 3-4 announced(with scripted trailers)… but the attempt is being made(all i ask)…look at Nightscarred and Alkahest… tnaf…also red head now, nice.

  3. Dark Messiah was a much deeper game than what people remember.
It had stealth elements and played like an "immersive sim-LITE".
I remember being able to avoid many enemies, use magic or the environment to get rid of them, or… kick them off a bridge. I used the kick attack a LOT.🤣
If there are multiple pathways and stealth and stuff, then yeah maybe this one could be a great modern Dark Messiah…🤔
