While Demon’s Souls has not been officially released on the PC, it appears that the first PC mods for it have surfaced online. To use these mods, you’ll need RPCS3 and a copy of the PS3 version of Demon’s Souls. In other words, these mods only work on the PC. So yeah, similarly to some Nintendo Wii/Gamecube games, PC gamers can now play modded versions of Demon’s Souls via its Playstation 3 emulator.
The first mod we are presenting today is Vaporwave Graphics Pack. This mod will change the graphics of each map in the game and give them some Vaporwave aesthetics.
On the other hand, the following mod pack contains the Nightmare Challenge Mode and the Hellscape Graphics Pack. This pack makes the game incredibly difficult for veteran players and turn Boletaria into a hellish nightmare.
There are also mods that remove the Depth of Field and fix the broken Lens Flares effects, introduce a High Resolution font, and remove the gray outlines when playing at high resolutions.
The Cheat Starting Class mod will make the game easier. This mod changes the Soldier starting class to have 99 in all stats. Furthermore, it brings a Broadsword that deals 9999 damage and a Plate Helmet with 9999 defense in everything.
Lastly, there is also a challenging mod for more experienced players. “1 HP Challenge Mode – Vanilla” makes your maximum HP 1 so that you die in 1 hit. This mod does not bring any additional changes, so you’ll be playing the vanilla version of the game.
Have fun everyone!

Awesome article! Many thanks for providing all those links. Downloading now…
I wonder if it’s possible for RPCS3 to use high resolution texture pack mods? Maybe with an edit to the game’s profile as opposed to using a custom version a la that ‘controversial’ RDR mod. If the emulator is hardcoded to an actual PS3’s memory limitation then I guess not so hopefully it isn’t.
rpcs is open source and scalable. Even if its not possible at moment, somebody8 will make it possible for sure in future
Superb. Much potential awaits then. Thanks for clarifying.
They will make it look and work better than first dark souls worked on pc!
The first Souls port was trash. That remaster is pretty slick though.
Thanks for letting us know, John.
Excellent.
Try this emulator, but i guess my PC cant run it very well…only got 18-25 fps average, which mean im playing games in cinematic mode lol
