First Epic Games Store Mega Sale launched, offering $10 discount for every game above $14.99

Epic Games has launched the first mega sale for its Epic Games Store, offering games with up to 75% discounts. This mega sale will last until June 13th and players will be able to get significant discounts for a lot of games. In fact, Epic Games is offering a $10 discount for every game that is priced above $14.99.

What this ultimately means is that PC players can get games like Borderlands 3 for just $39.99 (the game is on sale for $49.99 but when we apply the additional $10 discount, its price drops to $39.99).

Furthermore, every player who pre-purchased an unreleased game in the Epic Games store prior to May 16th, 2019 for $14.99 and above will receive a $10 refund. Not only that, but for all game purchases between May 2nd, 2019 and May 15th, 2019 we will refund you the difference in price between what you paid and what you would have paid during the Epic Mega Sale (inclusive of the $10 off from Epic). Epic Games notes that you will receive your refund automatically to the payment method you used in the next 7-12 days.

Epic Games is currently offering Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Control, Borderlands 3 and Metro Exodus for only $39.99.

  1. Looks like you can get Metro for $30 and Ashen for $10. Not bad deals there, but I still don’t wanna support the store.

  2. I already own Bloodlines 2 but it’s 9 dollars here on EGS. Control for $12, Phoenix Point for $5.99 etc. Not that I’d buy from EGS but eh.

      1. Funny how you are crying about Chinese people all the time while using American services that spy on you just as much.

      2. Yeah that’s Epic amirite

Also Epic is makes pirac great again. We should support them for this by buying from their store.

        1. Your continued flood of salty tears are delicious to behold. Do continue commenting for the amusement of all here. You can do it, champ.

          1. But I’m trying to be just like you. Please accept me.

Here, I’m even w*nking off to a pirated torrent link of Borderlands 3. Every night I dream about DESTROYING Epic games and their illegal international spying practices (which have ofcourse been confirmed without doubt). And the developers who took the exclusivity deals ? They deserve to be punished. Maybe make them look at DSOgaming comment section for a week or something.

            Epic, make salt salty again.

    1. LOL cringe, tencent is breaking laws literally laws, its as evil as it is and epic store is pawn of it. You probably one of those brainwashed idiots lol

      1. Love all the pirate scum here that care about people breaking laws, just when it’s convenient though.

    1. Option 4: Be entertained instead by Pitchford’s ongoing personal implosion what with the lurid tales of him allegedly having physically assaulted an employee, having CP on a USB stick, personally trousering $12m intended for employee bonuses and his latest epic meltdowns on Twitter!

    1. Ironic that torrent links for the games in the “Mega sale” can be found on Mega! ?

      #EpicFail

  3. Lol, Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls for 5 bucks, The Sinking City and Control for 30, bucks, Borderlands 3 for 35, this really does seem desperate, are they so crazy about beating Steam, they want to make people believe their Epic Sale is better than the Steam Sales. Whats the point for a developer to partner with Epic?

At these prices they are getting almost nothing!

Still I am not going to buy anything from them, I like achievements and user reviews, plus I am holding out for Bloodstained and Octopath!

    But this is just weird.

    1. add that vampire game from paradox to the list becuase i’m 100% sure it’s goint to the epic store

      1. I believe as of right now, that game is planned for a simultaneous release on Steam, GOG and Epic.

But as we saw with Metro that can change fast at virtually any time. Especially if the publishers get offered tons of cash!

But if they do release on all platforms the same day I may buy just to support. I love the first one, But this one, from what they’ve shown until now, does not look as promising!

    2. The benefit to them is lucrative mass data collection from their Chinese government compliant spyware disguised as an innocent store. EGS just launched in China so we know what was needed to make that happen not to mention Tencent’s involvement.

    1. Looks like other people are getting decent deals, but in poorer countries, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I don’t think Epic pays for those extra fees that Valve do for their side, so they just offload that extra part onto the consumer.

This is also why their “mega” sale is limited to just £10 shaved off, and not £15-25 instead.

  4. God, those are epic sales.
Having multiple Platform to purchase games is really a benefit for the consumer.
I really don’t understand all the hate from people spitting on Epic.

    1. Are you a community manager for them? Because this is not at all a good deal “for the consumer.” Besides this, people are downloading a fake storefront that is Chinese government compliant = spyware.

      1. Like sekiro which is only available on Steam but no one complains?
Steam really brainwashed people, sometimes I feel like speaking with apple fans but the brainless redneck version of them :/

  5. Seems like a desperate move from EPIC, out of panic mode.

Why would any sane fellow pre-purchase Borderlands 3 this early, when the game is scheduled for a 13 September 2019 release date ? Duh !

    1. Not that i’m interested in buying games on epic but those prices are good compared to other stores.

        1. what other stores? there is no competition… bought exclusives. epic is competing with itself

      1. “Heartbreaking”? Man up! They reap what they sow. Besides, the game was mostly boring anyway. Thankfully I didn’t waste any money to play it.

      2. No it isn’t. They deserve the 5 dollars they’;re going to make for pissing off their entire core audience. THQ Nordic is garbage, or whoever bought the rights. Deep Silver.

      1. A. Valve has the same sales every year since at least 2009. Summer Sale, Winter sale. OIn top of that they have Lunar New Year, Valentines Day, July 4th, Halloween, and constant publisher decided flash sales. The upcoming Summer Sale isn’t a reaction to Epic, at all, in any way. If you think that, you’re stupid.

        B. Valve isn’t desperate for anything. The PC market is theirs because they earned that.

  6. I know some of you won’t believe this But EPIC store for African Region is hilariously low
Metro exodus is 9 bucks atm for me , Control 9 bucks for preorder LOL
what is this heaven ? I’m actually shocked might start using EPIC

          1. Nah i’m not denying that, i’m just curious how you’re from africa and you’re named “BigNigglet”…

          2. G****mn it Oxidized I didn’t notice it, and the way you worded it, I spit Diet Coke everywhere.

    1. That still expensive…you know what?epic store giving free games in Antarctica region because penguin loves playing games. All the game you mentioned cost you 0 bucks. I’m actually shocked might start using EPIC

  7. Sorry, but I’m not investing in a store which is giving me the impression it’s in it for the short haul.

Epic is burning money at an unsustainable rate, and their fad game won’t be printing money forever. Someday in the not too distant future, I expect this store will close, and all your “owned” games, will go with it. Think I’ll pass.

Also, $10 off? Is this a joke? Steam sales make this look like robbery.

    1. This right here. I have no problem with another store front, what I do have a problem with is that I believe that the things I buy here I will lose here. This is the first store front I feel like if I buy from, it won’t be here in five years. And the Epic supporters lose their minds when I say it. Nice to see someone else feels this way.

  8. Epic: holds a sale on their store.

Me: celebrates by buying a game full price on Steam, is a happy camper.
