It appears that PSN has leaked the first details, screenshots and release date for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
This new Like a Dragon/Yakuza game will release on November 9th. Moreover, it will come out on PC alongside the console versions, something that really pleases me. After all, I’m a huge Yakuza/Like a Dragon fan.
In Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, players will assume the role of Kiryu. Under the codename “Joryu,” Kiryu will embark on a “gripping action narrative with bone-shattering combat in vibrant locations filled with exciting characters and activities.”
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will feature two fighting styles, the Yakuza and the Agent styles. With the Yakuza style, players will strike fear into enemies by unleashing wildly aggressive moves. With the Agent style, they’ll deliver blows with absolute speed and precision, while using an array of high-tech gadgets.
SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will most likely reveal the game’s release date at the upcoming RGG Summit Summer 2023 event.
Enjoy!

$60 for a game with PS3 graphics. No thanks.
First of all, since when are graphics the deciding factor for a videogame?
And secondly, please show me a screenshot of an actual PS3 game that can render such graphics at that resolution in real-time on the original console, not the RPCS3 emulator:

Go on, I’ll wait…
I’m not debating on graphics. I agree that gameplay is the most important but
“on the original console, not the RPCS3 emulator” you make it sound like RPCS3 isn’t a mess. All I know is original console performs much better, for example I think RPCS3 still can’t run God of War 3. Was there any leaps in RPCS3 performance recently?
“for example I think RPCS3 still can’t run God of War 3.”
it hard to answer that, rpcs3 perf are mostly cpu and you can go from 10fps to 60fps depending of your cpu, some game run better on rpcs3 though, i run resistance fall of men at 60fps (and you may be go even higher if you want)
That actually looks very bad. You can count the number of polygons on curves. The fireworks are simple alpha channel bitmaps that look trashy. There are much better looking titles on PS3.
You seem to be dazzled by all the colors in the image, without realizing how low quality it all is.

Looked at the other shots. These characters are very poorly modeled. Very poor hair modeling, poor lighting causing skin tone have a jaundice look, anatomical mistakes in the hands, the neck chain is not even modeled but part of a flat texture. YIKES!

Comparison with Horizon Zero Dawn hands.
Horizon is about 2 generations ahead in graphics, subsurface scattering is correctly modeled.
So this game is around PS3 level, with modeling quality around PS2 level.

it’s weird, because previous yakuza are better than that, i feel like this game wasn’t made by main studio but like if they give to a secondary studio to make it
even yakuza 6 look way better
Hopefully works better on proton on launch than Ishin.
WTF ! this doesn’t look like a yakuza game at all…
yakuza franchise going downhill since important people leaved RGG studio
The world exploring stuff in SF6 reminds me a lot of Yakuza. Irreverent stories in the Final Fight/SF universe with minigames but SF6 has deep character customization and better graphics.
KIRYU KAZAMA is back, you witches!! Guess nobody liked that stupid clown in Y7. And real time combat too!
keep yourself safe weeb
