It looks like Square Enix will soon reveal the release date of Final Fantasy XVI for PC as NVIDIA already has a Game Ready driver for it.
Earlier today, NVIDIA released the GeForce 560.81 Driver. And if you take a look at its game profiles, you’ll find ones for both Final Fantasy XVI and Once Human.
My guess is that Square Enix will reveal the PC release date for FFXVI at Gamescom 2024. That makes perfect sense, and it’s what I was expecting since the day SE announced the game for PC.
Since NVIDIA has added a game profile for the game, we may also get some new PC-only features. Final Fantasy XVI was a great-looking game on PS5. However, the game would definitely benefit from Ray Tracing.
Sadly there is nothing more to say. Still, Square Enix hasn’t forgotten PC gamers and FF XVI is almost upon us. As for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you should be expecting it to hit the PC in 2025. Square Enix is not THAT dumb to cannibalize the PC sales of Final Fantasy XVI.
Just for fun, I’ll say that FFXVI PC will come out in September/October, and that FF 7 Rebirth will come out in January/February 2025. Do note that I don’t have any inside information. This is mere speculation. Still, I’m curious to see whether or not I will be right.

lol shadow drop is an interesting strategy. Either they didn't want to spend on marketing for the title or the brand is so strong they know they didnt have to spend. Itll probably do well on PC being so anticipated but Im for sure waiting for a sale on this. Maybe EGS does another blow out sale + Discount and Ill get it sooner.
Don't expect a shadowdrop, this is FFXVI. As I said, I expect a release date announcement at Gamescom 2024, and then the game to be released in one-two months. Small marketing window, but this is in line with what SE does on PC.
You're right, That's probably more expected tbh. I dont remember the marketing too well for Remake or Stranger of Paradise recently or even 15.

Meh, Sadly the game is just not good, it starts off very strong and just as quickly throw itself off a cliff, combat is a massive wasted opportunity, sidequests are a travesty and the story is as generic as you can get. Shame because I was hyped for a FF with DMC gameplay but it did neither well.

And Square Enix will no doubt want €80 for it. Massively bloated prices for massively bloated games.
It just turns into a generic open world game after the first quarter of the story.
Gonna be cool to check this out. Should be on a good discount sometime next year if its as mid as people say. Hopefully it comes with a strong egs discount cause you know its going to be exclusive there first more than likely. While in the same spirit itll be cool if it runs on steam deck as well through the egs launcher.
Ever since the release of the current-gen only & ill-fated Forspoken (which has them lost millions of $) Square Enix has taken extra steps to ensure their games run decently on the Steam Deck.
I expect the same thing here, especially considering how popular the Steam Deck is starting to become in Japan.
The belated SteamOS 3.6 release should be out of Beta by then, which has finally enabled a Linux kernel feature to help with RAM-heavy games such as this one.
Note that SteamOS 3.7 will have much more notable improvements, however that's still long ways off, because "Valve-Time"…

Since FF7, those are literally the WORST RPGs you can play, and yet everybody talks about them, only because the name got popular.
It's like Star Wars or Marvel.
They've just become stupid meaningless brands at this point.
God I can't stand those overhyped Final Fantasy posts I see everywhere, as if it was always a "big" event, when in fact, they're freaking 1/10 games.

Sorry Honey but some of the story elements are rather unique in FF 7 to 10. People love the games because they are easy to understand. The franchise started to become less popular when boring and confuse stories got introduced with ff12 and ff13. I think you really should install the ff7 yaoi mod and think of your words again. It is definitely better than hyperdimension Neptunia.
John, EA announced a new patch coming for Jedi survivor. Supposedly they have been working on it since May. Maybe the game will finally fix the stuttering and run well.
I tried the demo on PS5, the graphics looked terrible with shimmering in performance mode, 30 fps with quality graphics didn't look good either. Now its going to be good looking on pc with DLSS
Was it any good? Iv not seen anyone talking about it since it released on PS5.
