FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn – Patch 2.4 Officially Announced, Surpassed 2.5 Million Subscribers

Square Enix today confirmed the name of the forthcoming PATCH 2.4 for the popular FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn online game. Dreams of Ice is currently in development, and more information about its content will be released soon.

Dreams of Ice (Patch 2.4) for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available for PC, PS3 and PS4, though a release date has not been confirmed as of yet.

In addition, Square Enix revealed that the game has recently surpassed 2.5 million adventurers worldwide.

  1. Didn’t like it much and the loading screens just by moving around the city with lines to show you that it’s a loading part. Never seen this in any other MMO, maybe because it’s for consoles as well. PC MMOs just don’t have loading lines like that, they’re pretty seamless ,the only loading is going to different zones on the map. TERA Online is so much better.

      This. I don’t have the source, but i think they said that PS3 version is holding them back. They were talking about some other thing, but it’s probably the same for the loading areas.

  2. Not bad, considering their failures with a previous version of the game, considering that the game was released a year ago, and considering that this number goes up, not down. Looks like this is the second most popular P2P game after WoW.

    Aion had 4 million subscribers, but this number dropped very quickly.
