VRESKI has announced that the fast-paced, top-down shooter that is inspired by classic action movies, The Hong Kong Massacre, will release on January 22nd. In order to celebrate this announcement, VRESKI has also released a new action-packed gameplay trailer that you can find below.
The Hong Kong Massacre will place players at the center of a hard-boiled revenge story, filled with brutal, cinematic shootouts and vivid underworld locations. Players will take on the role of a former police detective bent on exacting vengeance for his partner’s murder and use of a mixture of raw firepower, slow-motion and dive/dodge mechanics to tear your way through the criminal ranks. Basically, think of it as Hotline Miami with a Hong Kong setting that is inspired by some really classic movies.
Each level will feature a range of challenges, allowing players to to unlock new weapons as you progress, trading bullets from restaurants to rooftops across a moody, crime-riddled city. The game will also feature a slow-motion mechanic.
Enjoy!

A game to actually be excited about? Wow!
Honestly i would preffer if games made their launch like this or like “Catherine Classic”. An announced date a week before it’s launch or a instant release release out of nowhere.
Thats because it was recently console only.
You’re talking about Catherine ? If so yeah i know. But even then i preffer they do something like SEGA did instead of what CAPCOM did with Onimusha, but that is just a personal preference i’m aware that things will stay as they are since hype does relate to more copies sold.
no about this game, i saw gameplay of it on a small channel, that couldnt possibly get a preview copy and it was on console.
This is why didnt hear it before the pc anouncement.
it wasn’t out of nowhere. they announced this a couple years ago.
Probably going to buy this.
Hong Kong 97 Remaster would be sick
want a fps version of this? Check out maximum action?
Platformer? My friend Pedro
Top down? Max pay on the gameboy.
had my eye on this game since they announced it for shetstation4. kind of reminds me of hatred combined with hotline miami.
or go to isthereanydealcom and by games as cheap as possible when you decide in the future.
If I were to make a top-down shooter…this is the kind of game I would make. Stylish, gory, and noire! This looks sick!
