This is the needed patch to improve pvp, good changes
Yeah, shield turtles got nerfed hard. Kick breaks even fingerprint with shield talisman. Endure buff is really strong too, can poise backstab a tonne of stuff now but I reckon they’ll revert the buff. I’m enjoying it while it lasts.
Game is not fixed in terms of performance etc. across all platforms, yet they gonna add RT…
12900k / 3080 TUF OC / 1440p runs fine, just looks like an old title. I look forward to the RT update as I should have a 4090 TUF by then.
It doesn’t run like an old title, should be running at 4k with this spec.
What’s “fine”? With a 3080 I was dropping to 45 fps in Limgrave and the forest area after the academy as the worst locations that come to mind. That ain’t fine for a game yhat looks slightly better than DS3.
Don’t mind him, he is just using real grievances to boast about his hardware. Just downvote and move on.
It’s hardly worth boasting about, a year old CPU and a 2 year old GPU.
But you also said the new GPU you plan on buying, am i right mr humble brag?
Again, I don’t think that’s bragging. I’m buying a 4090 just for RT, which this article is about. It’s a huge upgrade over the 3080.
Your original reply was about someone complaining about peformance issues, and it was basically you saying “my rig which is way above system req doesn’t have a peformance problem”. Hope that makes it clear for you.
I don’t remember any such issues. I had my OS on a 1TB SN850 NVMe and the game installed on a 4TB WD Blue SATA SSD. I know people had issues due to shader compilation, but with my setup I never had them.
I get 60 locked maxed out at 4k on a 3080ti, verify your files on steam. Has to be done after every update for some reason with this game. It’ll find 2 files missing, once those are downloaded the weird slow-mo moments should stop.
It’s a common theme in free roaming games, some areas will peform better than others.
its the only thing that this game is garbage in THE FUC… GARBAGE FS ENGINE!
they need a new one but for real! not gonna enter on details cause dont want to make this be longer but they better get a new engine for next game or gonna carry all this problems again
It’s such a sh*t engine but man did they really do incredible things with it. Elden Ring has BY FAR the best art design in gaming. It’s clear they made paintings first that were incredible then build a world to fit them. So many times you are just blown away by the view. Incredible art design. Imagine if it was done with Unreal engine.
Does the patch fix the stuttering though?
No it doesn’t. Ran in some capital back alleys and fps dropped to 30 multiple times. Note that I never had drops like this when I had fps uncapped and other community fixes. It’s 100% not a hardware fault on our side
I don’t even get framedrops, just random stuttering, it’s really annoying.
That too 😀
I think fs is getting greedy , they are making the game easier with each new patch leaving beahind real fs fans for a more casual public and money obvious. hope they give an options to play without putting this patchs
How is the game easier? If anything this patch nerfs a tonne of the strongest things in PvE and PvP.
did you see the big guy/giant at the begining of the game? he was waaaayy hard at launchm now he literally bend and let his head for you to attack
and there more just dont want to spoil anybody
They always did that, you just broke his posture.
don’t think so me and a bunch of my friends (except veteran ones on dark souls games) died instantly when fought him. broke his posture? i didn’t touch him maybe he broke his posture by himself xd
Hey during the launch you could cheese bosses with the broken weapon arts. Gl now
you said they were broke now fs is getting them more stronger with each patch
Maybe with an RT upgrade the game will be able to render shadows similar to what it was on Dark Souls 2:

F*k RT, the game desperately needs DLSS since the performance is awful in all forest areas. With a 3080 I was getting drops to 45 fps at 4k which is insane for the visual fidelity. RT is gonna be unusable unless they add DLSS.
I’m sure they will add. It. No chance they don’t… Then again they still cap it at 60 fps.
cause they are working on f*k.. fake 4k dlss instead optimizing the ray tracing
DLSS shouldnt be a crutch against lazy optimization. It needs DLSS AND decent optimization

For my thesis, I consulted a lot of information, read your article made me feel a lot, benefited me a lot from it, thank you for your help. Thanks!
