  1. Those are pretty decent specs. Hopefully they don’t require us to pay for the game again if there’s an upgrade to DX12.

  2. 8Gb RAM is only around $40 these days. If you don’t have at least 8 Gb of RAM now then you probably are not a serious PC gamer and are better of playing on consoles. Everything else is actually pretty low for a game coming out in 2016.

    1. Recently I bought additional 8GB of RAM so I have 16GB now. Initially I thought it was a bad decision but seeing how those requirements evolve (Star Citizen or Digital Combat Simulator already need 16GB), I don’t regret it.

      1. Idk about those games yet, but 8 gigs is not enough for me. I do a ton of multi-tasking and sure, i got 8 gigs of ram right now but soon ill upgrade to 16. Im always hitting the 8 gigs limit and then my PC starts slowing down sooo much. I cant stand it anymore.

12 gigs would be enough for now, but 16 is a good and cheap idea for the future proofing. There is no reason not to go 16 if you were upgrading right now.

    2. “If you don’t have 8 Gb of RAM now then you probably are not a serious PC gamer(…)”

      Faster pls.

Plenty of PC games to enjoy without having a somewhat “powerful” PC. There’s different audiences, different ages, incomes, games, genres, etc.
As and example, I don’t think DOTA requires 8GB of RAM and the time I see people put in that thing is absolutely crazy! Arguably it can be said that those people are DOTA gamers rather than PC gamers, but then again, where we draw the line?

Invested in the platform itself? Then we agree, however it still only a different take on the matter, because you can be dedicated to gaming only on the PC and still only play small games, indies and etc. 🙂

      1. Yeah, there are plenty of games that don’t need much RAM. That fact should render FasterThanFTL’s comment reckless, but I see a different point there.
I think it’s directed towards people who come to read news about new games with good graphics and they complain about that 8GB requirement as if it were Tetris.

      2. All I am saying saying 8Gb is very affordable these days. Its pretty much what 4Gb was before. There is absolutely no reason to not have 8 Gb of RAM in 2016 if you expect to play high-end AAA games. If you want to only play DOTA 2 and other older games then stick with 4 Gb of RAM.

        1. LOL.. Mate it’s not even worth talking to these RETARDS!
Let those IDIOTS play on a console, well just reply – GTFO you belong to console gaming only LOSER 😉

        2. “There is absolutely no reason to not have 8 Gb of RAM in 2016 if you expect to play high-end AAA games.”

So what? There is also absolutely no reason to have 8 GB since no game worth playing requires them.

          1. No game sure, but skype, firefox and a ton of other programs do. I dont want to close down all my firefox tabs just because i felt like playing a game. People use their computers for loads of reasons.

Gaming is just one of them. Multitasking is why we are all PC gamers. Console players just last year got the ability to listen to custom music and play games haha! The most basic of all things.

          2. My Firefox performs pretty badly and yet I’ve never felt an impact in game performances. RAM requirements simply no business being over 4GB unless you’re doing some new, revolutionary features. Crysis ran well on something like 3GB.

        3. Pretty much. Heck, even 16 gigs of ram is nothing hard to get now days… it’s been like that for at least 1 year? Perhaps longer.

My friend only had 2 gigs of ram for ages, simply because he was too lazy go to out and get some more.
He was lagging like hell in games and always complained.. some people are just beyond help.

        4. I upgraded my PC a couple of years ago and decided to go with 16GB of RAM. I wasn’t sure I would ever need it but now I am glad I did. I will be upgrading this coming spring, I think I will double that to 32GB since RAM is so cheap.

          1. thats over kill very few games use 8gb.when i see every singe big AAA title require 8gb as min then ill upgrade to 16gb of ram.

        5. AAA games are made for console.thats where i play them.i use my midrange pc for mmo’s.also you meant what you said about the serious pc gamer and are better off on console.

    3. Totaly agree, I would even say – if you havent got 8GB for the last 5 years or so you are NOT a pc gamer!

      Memory are dirt cheap.

I am on my way to build a Skylake rig, and I allready have these nice new and shiny 16GB Hyper X DDR4, and guess what, it was dirt cheap.

So I fully agree, any pc gamer that atleast dont have 8GB these day are a F*CKN MORON!

Get 16GB and you are set 😉

        1. Well kiss my A..
You know you are on a PC SITE!

GTFO and game on a console, and leave us real gamers alone. you F*CKN DIPSHIT!!

      1. Demon Souls because I don’t have a PS3 and certainly won’t buy one just for it (especially now, playing DS at 60 fps).

DS2 because the design feel “souless” (heh). I like a lot of what it improved on the formula/gameplay, but the world feels so lackluster to me. It feels superficial (bear in mind, I haven’t played it, this is let’s plays/critiques impressions).

        1. Okay, thanks for explaining :).
I, personally, like the idea of a hard game in dark environments, with lore awaiting for players to discover, but there’s one thing that puts me off. Namely, the main character and many enemies are too over-the-top for me. They are so huge and yet move with momentum of bees. They also have big, two-handed swords for toothpicks. That is too ridiculous and destroys both seriousness and weight of attacks. With those physics, the protagonist would be able to fly with his hands.

          1. The “over the topness” felt quite right to me because I like to feel (even if artificially) that is a weapon made of metal, so it is supposed to be heavy or difficult to wield (and if felt great studying the stats of that).

Not going to deny, at first, the game overwhelmed me and the difficult made me think that I was fighting against the game mechanics rather than the enemies. But after I beat the first boss and rang that first bell, the satisfaction was unlike anything.

          2. I like when swords are heavy, but in DS they feel too light, don’t they?
That was a drawback for me.

          3. I don’t know, not for me at least. I didn’t find them light. There’s certainly some lighter sword types but maybe it’s the weapons that I’m currently using that gives me a different impression.

          1. What is a sperg? lol

BTW none of the people who I usually listen said is a bad game (neither am I blindly following their opinions) it’s just a lackluster “souls” game.

  3. Lower than expected, but honestly I could care less about the graphics when it comes to souls games. I just wish the AA was better…

    1. Nope. Consoles don’t have 8 GB RAM (some of it is used by the GPU, much of it by the OS) so there’s no way the game requires 8 GB of RAM to start. It’s simply false. If the game can run with ~4 GB on consoles then it can run with 4-6 on PC. They completely botched the PC version last time and yet people are going into this with any sort of optimism, it boggles my mind.

      1. Consoles don’t have resolutions above 1080p and frame rates above 30 fps. We need the extra RAM for that as well as Windows OS and background applications.

        1. thats because there is no tv with 1440p genius. 4k is the next tv. so in 6 more years at the consoles lifespan the next consoles will be 4k/30pfps.

          1. That’s not how the word “minimum” works. Noone has a financial interest in excluding people with lower res displays from buying their game.

      2. I think you are mistaken. Consoles are far from using the same protocols when compared to pc. In fact, the two (consoles vs pc) cannot be compares in terms of hardware requirements.

  4. BREAKING NEWS: Tomb Raider BOSS FIRED!!!!!!

    eurogamer dot net/articles/2015-12-16-crystal-dynamics-boss-quits-after-decade-at-square-enix

PS Served him right, he challenged the patriarchy and lost soundly – not a nice person. Bye bye feminazi loving weirdo!

    1. What? Give me some context here. Was he responsible for the brain-damaged route the reboot took? If he was onboard for ten years that would mean he’s also responsible for the “Legend” batch of TR games which many people liked. I think they were a sad excuse for TR games but still better than the reboot by so much. They were ultimately solid games about raiding tombs.

      1. He didnt quit, he was fired. It wasnt widely reported but a week or two before he was fired he came out and defended this misandric trash. Google it. Idiot got what he deserved. This Tomb raider reboot went straight to hell from day 1 with the first game. Bring back old school classic Lara honeybonny back, the one who was cute and sexy in her classic short shorts and crop tank and dual wielding. Thats how everyone wants her to be and not this psycho b*tch from hell.

        1. The hell is wrong with you? Im ok if shes modeled after its classic, but i prefer the modern gameplay.
I hated old TR games. Now its Uncharted with tombs: EXCELLENT!!

  5. 8 GB RAM when the rest of the specs are fairly low end seems a bit odd. Not that most don’t have it but it does seem high in any case.

    1. The PS4 couldn’t handle minimal requirements because it doesn’t have 8 GB of RAM. Remember that RAM is only one part of the memory on PC, VRAM counts extra. Meanwhile the PS4 has 8GB total memory and uses several GB of that for OS and graphics.

  6. Another crappy Souls port for the PC, again with the same crappy graphics, yet I wonder if it will still come out with no real keyboard and mouse support.

    1. I don’t have faith in FromSoftware programming but how can you say it’s a crappy port if the game isn’t even out yet?

  7. 8 Gigs of ram is nothing crazy to have now days. It wasnt even years ago. Having sh**ty gfx that need 8 gigs of ram is another problem tho. Dark Souls 1 and 2 looked horrible and im SURE 3 will look the same way.

Its crazy that Bloodborne is made by the same developer.

    1. Dark souls was a 2011 game for previous gen, and Dark souls 2 was just, well, kinda bad overall.

I’m sure Dark Souls 1 would look much better if released in 2015, the textures might be ugly but the art direction was pretty good. Dark Souls 3 is a 2016 release and I’m sure they learned a lot from their previous games ( you mentioned Bloodborne yourself ), have some faith.

    2. You wrong, DS2was PS3/360 game in ts core.
DS3 is PS4/X1 game, the Alpha looked like they used Improved Bloodborne engine.

    1. i know right people should have noticed since watch dogsthe ram requirements would go up.its dddr4 is out its time to have at least 8gb ddr3 by now.

    1. You cant upgrade to DDR4 unless you get a new system.
If you want a new System, yes Skylake is great and so is Intel 6-Core Haswell.
I have 32Gb DDR4 and im not broke, yet

  8. it seams like my old 660sc is still doing ok no need to up grade yet.we will see when farcry primal comes out.i bet those requirements are high since its ubisoft.

    1. Primal looks like a typical Ubisoft skinjob, only this time set in the stoneage, hopefully its some sort of spinoff like Blood Dragon was, before they make Far Cry 5 with machineguns and all the other good stuff which are typically associated with the series.

    1. You obviously dont know much about Chris Roberts and his games and in particular the system requirements they normally come with.

  9. OS: Windows 7 SP1 64bit, Windows 8.1 64bit Windows 10 64bit
    Processor: AMD® FX 8150 3.6 GHz or Intel® Core™ i7 2600 3.4 GHz
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
    Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750, ATI Radeon™ HD 7850
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Storage: 50 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 11 sound device

And the game is going to look like Dark Souls 2 in everything.
